birthday celebration with BFF

so my bestfriend and i, supposedly together with our lunch buddy, went to TriNoMa awhile ago. our lunch buddy wasn't able to stay longer because she had volunteered to teach English subject in her school's program. so it was just and my awesome best friend.

it started with lunch time. since it is 3 days after my birthday, i treated her and our lunch buddy to my bff's suggested fast food chain: . then we bought tickets to the Hunger Games movie. killing time an hour before we went in the theater, we went window shopping for my bff's pants -- that she wanted to buy at first but i told her to wait until we finished the movie and see if she still, and if she do like it sitll, then she'll buy it -- but didn't buy since we were both drained from all that Hunger Games excitement.

so now comes the viewing of the movie. every part of that movie was excruciatingly suspense! but what was funny was it was super predictable becasue my best friend already watched it with her sister and she also read the book so she definitely knows what will happen next; and with my super "analysis" skills, i was able to predict little details that was going to happen next in the movie. so it was totally funny because i was with bff and even the least amusing things amuses us big time. so it was funny. :))

of course, i had my favorite line from the movie and my best friend will be the only one to get me if will be posting it on twitter now. it's Katniss's line shouting: "Peeta! Peetaaa!!!" sorry for spoiling but she shouted this when she found Peeta bruised, lying on the grass, camouflaged with his art. and the movie had touching moments between Katniss and Peeta so whenever there was one, i'd say "Peeta! Peeetaaaa!" to my best friend and she would laugh for some unknown reason :))) i kept telling her even when we were on our way home. LOL :D

anyway, as to what i felt in the movie, there were lots! in short, i had so many emotions overflowing in myself after watching the movie. i guess i was super affected by everything that had happened in the movie. but the most prevailing emotions were disappointment to Katniss and pity to Peeta. i was disappointed because obviously, Katniss didn't really loved Peeta. she just used him so they can both win the Hunger Games. on the other hand Peeta loved her for real so i pitied him because of the fact that Katniss only played his feelings :P but that's just me, feeling super affected from all that action and drama. overall...

awesome birthday is awesome! :D

so the family went to Island Cove, a resort in Cavite,  Philippines to celebrate my birthday and my brother's graduation.

what about it? IT WAS AWESOME! as the title suggests.. ;P

anyway, if you want to have fun more than the usual and make a trip put of town, i strongly suggest going to the Philippines. if you already are in the Philippines, go to Cavite. when you're already in Cavite, you have to go to Island Cove!!! it's awesome there and a day and a half there is NOT enough! the family so want to extend some more but we've got lots of things to do for the next days and weeks. so we went home anyway.

reminiscing on my birthday, let's explore the Island Cove :D

now we go in our room :)

since it was lunch time when we got there, we ate at the Fishing Village which had mouth-watering dishes :D oh yeah, we also ate dinner here since we wanted to taste other dishes that they had to offer us. also, an acoustic band sang me a Happy Birthday  and other pop and backtrack songs upon request during that dinner so it was extra special :D

as you can see here, there were strong winds so it was super breezy :D

after eating lunch and before we head for dinner, we made sure to rest for a while in the hotel room and get ourselves ready for the most anticipated experience of the Oceania Water Park which had some awesome slides for people of all ages. the park is open to all guests even though they are not checked in :D here's an awesome picture my mom took :) btw, i only rode the blue slide which was the shortest slide among those other colors. didn't have the guts to slide down the green one, it was too tall for me to handle :))

then, since there was a sign that says "this way to pool" inside the hotel, the next day, we spent the morning in the hotel pool and jacuzzi which were exclusive for guests who are checked in the hotel.
P.S. i have an awesome experience to tell about that pool and that jacuzzi. (right after the picture :D)

ok here's the story: so i first went in the jacuzzi since we weren't able to go the jacuzzi part of the water park. yeah, it was warm and all. but that was just the introduction to what i did. so it was the day after my birthday and i thought, hey! i want to have fun since it is my second day of being a 19-year-old person. so what i did to celebrate my 2nd day as a 19-year-old was to dive to the pool from the jacuzzi. what i didn't know was the water where i jumped to was 6 ft deep! and i swore to myself that i will never go as deep as 6ft. so when i was already in the water, my feet were looking for the ground to stand on but wasn't able to find it since i was only 5ft and 1inch tall. i didn't want the thought of drowning on my second day of being a 19-year-old so i immediately swam onto the side and held on it and lifted myself from thereon. i was totally in a state of awesome because this was once in a life time experience i am glad i did dive int hat 6ft part fo the hotel pool because if didn't do it, then i wouldn't feel any fulfillment on that day. :D

we stayed in the cove for two days and one night so we left after swimming in the hotel pool and jacuzzi. we ate later on in SM Manila @ Max's because we missed it so much. we even told the waiter that it was my birthday on april 15 when it was the day before. they didn't know anyway so they sang Happy Birthday to me, plus a free slice of a strawberry cake roll which i haven't eaten yet and i bet is already expired by now in the refrigerator. here's the pic:

looks delicious! and my birthday didn't end there. i still haven't claimed my free Pepperoni pizza from Shakey's so last April 18, my brother accompanied me in getting my free pizza and helped ourselves in eating it for merienda. :D here's the pic :) mmm.. yummy! :D

so that was my birthday celebration with my family. coming up next, birthday celebration with my best friend! :D

the thing is, i don't have a choice but to let go of my previous course. this is because, obviously, i wasn't able to make it to the quota of the retention exam so i can continue BS Accountancy.

now, i have three choices

• stay in UST and continue BSMA (the course where i'll be going to since i didn't make the quota)
• stay in UST and shift to another course BS Math (the course that everyone believes i should have gotten in the first place)
• move to UP with ECE (the course that i will enjoy and make easy money in the future)

the differences?

obviously, they are all different. but here is a Venn diagram that i made because somehow, they have similarities.

 anyway, i tried making a Venn  Diagram but wasn't successful. going back, BSMA and ECE will give me easy money in the future. BSM and ECE are courses that will surely enjoy.

despite all these, the course that is in favor of fate is BSMA. but who says this life was set in stone? i didn't. i'm going to the course that i want. and if ever i will take BSMA, it is not because it's the only choice but it is because i have fully accepted it to be my course.

so now, i pray to God to decide which one of these three choices i will take for my own betterment.

by the way, i was thinking about giving this a black template since i'm being all dark and down. but that's not really my personality. i always make sure to dwell on the positive side of life but not being ignorant of the bad side.

fun nights with family

yeah. well. since Holy Wednesday night, April 4, we are having a night session with my brother and father. what we do? play cards.

of course, with an A/Ced room since it is summer, even nighttime feels hot. mother always does facetime with other relatives while we play cards. the reason why she doesn't play cards with us three is because even though we teach her how to play the card games, she just can't learn it. this is because, she refuses to learn the games. she thinks we're gambling when my dad, bro and i play cards. so, we don't teach her anymore.

then food never gets forgotten because we always have snacks we us while we play. last wednesday we had Rebisco chocolate flavor and Sky Flakes; yesterday, thursday, we had DingDong -- a combination of five kinds of nuts, Chippy original flavor and Peewee pizza flavor; and now, we are having Banana Chips, Tortillos and more Sky Flakes. and i just want to mention that while we eat, we also drink water :P not to be obvious or anything, but some sarcastic people might say stuff like what do we drink etc...

anyway, this session will most probably continue until Easter Sunday, April 8.

i'm enjoying it while it lasts so i'm just finishing this post while we are having a break from our session.

so

i decided to blog more for the month since it is my favorite month. and i know that i will be blogging more at the cost of having my posts about my favorite band to be moved downward and not be shown since i only want two posts to be seen at a time. to make up for that opportunity cost, i embedded their song on the blog itself so it plays in the background even though the post about its official lyric video is not seen anymore.

anyway, i was going to blog about the "plans" that i talked about on the sidebar. so in general, these are the things that i will be doing, hopefully, this month.

• First Week:watch latest movies with younger bro - i.e. Hunger Games, Wrath of the Titans, etc.
• Second Week: get ready for birthday celebration somewhere that is not at home
• Third Week: bonding-with-friends week - both college and high school friends
• Fourth Week: probably doing stuff with best friend - i have yet to invite her to do something

so, i'm all packed for the month. hopefully, even though i'll be doing these things, i still get to post here in my blog so i can talk about how much i had awesomeness doing these things.

so more posts to come. i will not delete whatever's written on the sidebar because although i will be posting more for  the month which contradicted what i just said there, the text on the sidebar still talks about my favorite band.

so that will still be there even though April Fool's day has gone already. i'll be replacing the text on May, that i am sure of because i made it a pattern to change whatever's written in the sidebar every month to describe what the month is going to be about.

i am super excited for the month and to clear things up, the reasons that April is my favorite month are not only that it is the month that i was born 18 years ago, but it is also the month when i actually feel that it is summer already and it the  month when i get to do the things that i want to do for myself. these "things" that i want to do for myself that i don't get to do when there is school are viewing unlimited videos of whatever in Youtube, playing almost all the apps that i have downloaded in our iPod Touch, and watch any series or movies the TV has to offer. plus, since it is summer, i get to laze off and my parents aren't even scolding us for that since it is summer and it is up to us how we're going to entertain ourselves. it is only a bonus if we get to be productive on summer. but the main goal for summer is to have fun no matter how we want it do or to have.

that's it. more news and updates about me, maybe later or tomorrow or the day after that or any day in the month. so stay tuned for more me and probably more B.Y.E. (Before You Exit)
