OBVIOUSLY, this is a reply from my post 3 years ago. here's the link of what it was all about: December 24, 2008 Post
so i was strolling around my blog's design and statistics. whenever i do that, i would always go see the posts that were viewed by you guys who are apparently not leaving any comments whatsoever. and one of the posts that were viewed either yesterday or just today is the thing that i wrote on that date.
so i was complaining how i didn't do well with the third quarter exam when i was in my third year high school.
it turned out, on the fourth quarter, that i was one of the FREAKING Outstanding Students :))
it's funny because i complained so much and used the word "freaking" so much that i never thought in my life that i will ever be an outstanding student in that freaking school.
and about that friend of mine, she doesn't treat me as a friend anymore. she and i have nothing to talk about anymore and we have no connections whatsoever. even though we are friends in facebook, we don't talk and stuff. and anyway, we could've been tighter than ever if it weren't for the attitude that i put up in front of her in our last year of our high school. i had jealousy, bitterness, and broken friendship all bottled up inside that exploded in different days of that year. with that, we grew away so far that i guess she can't consider me as her friend anymore. to be honest as much as i want to remember her telephone number, i can't recall the whole 7-digit of it. i only remember the first three but the next digits are all blank.
anyway, she's happy without me. i mean i am not a lost to her. she even has a boyfriend already. and i guess we were not meant to be friends for a longer period of time. but for sure, we were meant to learn lessons from each other; well, at least i learned so much from our four-year friendship.
so that is all. ha! and i am proud to say that for once in my entire life in that school, i have been an OUTSTANDING STUDENT! :D

explanation
well, about the post before this, what the bold letter say is that:
I can't tell you where I'm headed, but I know I'm gone. It's time to pick up the slack.
I was meant to do just what I'll have to; no time to be afraid to try. (though) I'm losing my mind...
I'm going places i've never been before. I'm doing things that I've never done.
the thing is, i don't have a choice but to let go of my previous course. this is because, obviously, i wasn't able to make it to the quota of the retention exam so i can continue BS Accountancy.
now, i have three choices
obviously, they are all different. but here is a Venn diagram that i made because somehow, they have similarities.
anyway, i tried making a Venn Diagram but wasn't successful. going back, BSMA and ECE will give me easy money in the future. BSM and ECE are courses that will surely enjoy.
despite all these, the course that is in favor of fate is BSMA. but who says this life was set in stone? i didn't. i'm going to the course that i want. and if ever i will take BSMA, it is not because it's the only choice but it is because i have fully accepted it to be my course.
so now, i pray to God to decide which one of these three choices i will take for my own betterment.
that's it for now.
by the way, i was thinking about giving this a black template since i'm being all dark and down. but that's not really my personality. i always make sure to dwell on the positive side of life but not being ignorant of the bad side.
:D

now, i have three choices
- stay in UST and continue BSMA (the course where i'll be going to since i didn't make the quota)
- stay in UST and shift to another course BS Math (the course that everyone believes i should have gotten in the first place)
- move to UP with ECE (the course that i will enjoy and make easy money in the future)
obviously, they are all different. but here is a Venn diagram that i made because somehow, they have similarities.

What My Name Says About Me
this app in facebook just scared the hell out of me because it was too accurate :DD
it's because it is true. i do sometimes or most of the times because i have to say, i kind of or really sometimes judge a book by its cover. it's because it is inevitable. i notice even the smallest details that i can't possibly just bottle up all those tiny details or else i might explode! hehe. just kidding. i won't explode. i'm not even half fat.
about the second sentence, i do need to do that. because most of the times or maybe a couple of times, i suffer because at those times, i don't even think about my own feelings. because sometimes, i'm too nice which is bad. because of this, there are times when i give the last one i have and end up with nothing.
and the last sentence is super true! i have been facing so many challenges. i am currently challenged to regret nothing and just be happy with what i have now. i guess i feel bitter about one thing. that one thing is something that i always thought that i have moved on from. it's about being admitted at the country's state university.
you see, since i am the eldest, just like the science experiments, i am the experimental variable that is to be tested to see if a theory is correct. this means that if they believe in this, and wonder if it applies to this, i am the one who gets experimented with. (you get it, right. i don't have to elaborate on this) anyway, so since that is always the case, sometimes, it is a good thing that i was first to try so i will be the FIRST to experience it. but most of the times, it is a bad thing because as we all know, when we do trial and error method, there is a very high probability that we will get a wrong answer. that is me. whenever my parents experience something new, because of the advancement that is occurring in our generation, they try whatever it is that they think is the right way on me. which sucks. because most of the times, they get the negative results from me and so to avoid the same mistake, they already know what to do and my younger brother gets the positive results. thing is, there is a review center that can help you to pass the state university's entrance exam. so, since my parents are like: that's too expensive for a review center and the review center itself is far from home and you are a girl. even if you passed, you can't go anyway because it is too far and we can't let you live in a dorm. that's what they said.
and so, in short, i didn't even try to give effort into passing the entrance exam of the state university. because i knew of these things that my parents had to say and i was discouraged... NOT! i didn't have hope anyway. in the first place, i reviewed for entrance exams in my high school itself. and they lack in the topics that have to be reviewed for the exam. and the environment was so lax! didn't have motivation. in the review center, they had quizzes once every meeting. no wonder! tsk. so i am bitter. only when the subject comes up the surface. and i am not afraid to tell my parents face to face that i do regret not being able to pass the state university's entrance exam. because i told them that my friends from high school are offering me to be part of a bundle that has a lower fee but at the same time has the right things to teach for entrance exams. but they refused. told me that it was expensive and the review is far. but remembered clearly that i told them that i was going to the center with a friend who lives nearby. so, i was and still am and will be the trial child :(( as long as i'm still studying and there are still upcoming advancements, i will always be the trial child.
and the sad part is that i am still happy about the fact that my brother was able to pass the state university's entrance exam. i pretend that i am ok and not jealous at my brother. yeah sure. why shouldn't i be happy? i was the one who brought him to the review center and had to wait there for 5 hours until his review is done for the day. why wait for that long? well, i am not familiar with the place, so i don't know how to go about it. but it doesn't matter because he passed! :D and all my waiting was worth it. since i am bitter about that, all i can be happy about is that i am having fun right now in the university that i am going to because of my awesome best friends. another thing that i can be happy about and forget about that bitterness is that my brother just passed that freaking entrance exam! hayzzz... i want to feel what he feels right now because whether i like it or not he has a lot of bragging rights with him right now. he just passed freaking state university where all the graduates don't have to apply for job because those job will have to fight for you.
now, aside from no having an edge since i am not studying in the state university, i still have to put a lot of effort so jobs will fight for me as well. about that, i think my chances of experiencing that is lessened since i will be taking the retention exam this summer. that's right. i screwed up the first semester but i passed; i just wasn't able to reach the minimum grade to have to not take the retention exam. so, yeah.
because of all of this, i am working my butt off! ........ NOT REALLY! well, at least not always. but whenever there is something to be done for school, i always feel like giving it more than my all. and since the tuition fee is more than twice of the state university's, i am obliged to show my parents that i am worth it. that is what i have to put up with since i didn't pass the state university's entrance exam. i have to prove myself. i have to be positive. i have to reach a goal that is SUPER DUPER HIGH! almost impossible to reach is what i say. but there is a probability to reach if i give super duper extra effort.
talk about myself! i guess i am an expert when it comes to myself. i mean, if there is anyone who knows me the best, it's only me and God. even, God knows me more than i know myself. so He knows what i am capable of. and He won't give me any challenge that i can't surpass with flying colors. that is why, i am not losing hope. even when i knew i wasn't going to study in the state university, i had the last drop of hope in me. there was little hope but i still had hope. and i guess part of me was to be blamed. i guess since i had little hope, i didn't give it my all... or did i. all i know is that i answered the exam with everything that i know. so, perhaps, what i know wasn't enough. i still have to learn. that is why i keep an open mind. if i don't, there is no room for improvement and i will not become a better person.
so that's me. feeling bitter here and then when the topic is surfaced. but truthfully, feeling happy and proud of the fact that my brother made it. and i guess that this is all God's plan and indeed, i am learning from the mistake of not having that much hope. also, since God can see that i am giving my effort now, He gave me awesome friends who help me forget about transferring schools or forget about being bitter of that experience.
i am now feeling much better. well, better since the topic is going to be surfaced for the week since my brother passed and the results just came in yesterday. so if ever the bitterness starts to show up, i'll just have to think about the awesome things that i have with my college best friends especially the things that happened starting about 6 and a half hours ago and ended 2 hours later that time.
we stayed for 2 hours in our friend's apartment to celebrate the end of preliminary exams for the semester. we had milk tea from Moon Leaf and there wintermelon with pudding is good. music played in my friend's room and we were singing and dancing and laughing about past experiences which are of course funny to imitate :))) especially the one that i did in the library. that is another story but really, i love my friends. they make my day :D
and oh yeah! i told three of them about this blog's site and maybe they'll read this so, HI FRIENDS! :D
and that is what my name says about me. A LOT! it says so much that it was too accurate. and because it was accurate and precise as well, i was able to reflect about myself and come to accept that this is me and somehow i guess i have to change my down sides and strengthen my up sides, learn from my mistakes and rejoice from the right things i do, and avoid to revenge and regret and remember to always forgive and forget like i always do :D
i'm out! PEACE! :D CONGRATZ TO MY BROTHERHOOD! :DDDD

memory lane
aahhhhh... scrolling down uploaded pictures in facebook. looking back on those days when i was in high school until college. laughing at those funny moments especially those embarrassing ones. and thinking to myself, high school and college, even though i had some tough times, there will always be more better times than worse times. all in all, going down the memory lane, i say to myself (while scrolling, looking laughing and thinking), "haaaayyy.... good times. GOOD TIMES..." :D
and in a matter of hours, the new year comes. i hope that i can still get to experience more better times than worse times...
it's approximately, 9 hours till New Year! can't wait to make new memories! :DDD

Something I Wrote About Our Class Retreat
Mode: Reminiscing
Currently listening to: Full Circle - Miley Cyrus
I. Personal Faith Experience
I was excited to go to the retreat to the point that I had a little leftover of my lunch at school. When we were in the bus and asked to watch the documentary, I was bored so I watched only the first parts and the last parts. In between, I was either talking to my classmates or looking outside the window. When we got to the place, I was mostly excited to see our Dorm (A). It wasn't exactly what I thought it looked like but I thanked God that I was in that dorm and not anywhere else.
Our class had a recollection in a glass room. It was really awesome. Our first activity was to imitate an animal as a group. Our group chose to be a penguin. Then we had our merienda. We had toron and other snacks from us. It was satisfying. Then we started with our real activity. We got our malong and our coloring materials with the drawing book. We read stories through the PowerPoint. During the reading of the stories, I came to appreciate the galaxies, the sun, the planets, the moons and stars more than I did before since it was explained to us how God created them. We did two stories then we had dinner. After dinner, we gazed at the stars. We were divided in groups. In the group that I was in, we talked about things. After the star gazing, we did the third story and gave a star and a rose to anyone who we wanted to give it. In my part, I have to say that I was pretty much surprised to those who gave their star and rose to me. I didn’t expect any from them. I was only expecting to receive from Belay since we exchanged stars and roses. Then we had our midnight snack. I didn't eat because I was full already from dinner. The most unforgettable story that I heard was "The Four Candles". It was amazing on how it was animated. Then we went to our dorms and slept. We didn't actually sleep at once since we had to pray the rosary first. After we prayed the rosary, I tried to sleep already because if don't sleep at least seven hours, I'll get sick the next day. We finished the rosary at 12am. I wasn't able to sleep well since some of my classmates were still talking and chatting. I didn't sleep in straight hours because of the noise. I wake up at 5am then after 5 minutes, I took a bath. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to take a bath since I was still sleepy. The cold water gave me little energy to get the day started. I was able to walk around with my friends and took a couple of pictures. Then we had breakfast. Considering that I was still really sleepy that morning, I only ate about five spoonfuls of rice with eggs. I didn't finish my champorado because I didn't feel like eating it. I wasn't able to make milo because I felt lazy to make one. Then we head back to the glass room and listened to the fourth and final story. Then we made our last and biggest mandala. During the story telling, I was sleepy to the point that I closed my eyes and slept for minutes. I wasn't able to understand the story much. I made an extra mandala so I can make a star when I put all my mandalas together. It was amazing. I finished it early. Then we had recess. We had kutsinta. I didn't finish my last piece of kutsinta because I accompanied Mrs. Garcia to by food souvenir. Then we went back inside the glass room and had our last activity: the Mass. I didn't have much energy to sing and respond. To be honest, I took a sleep during the Homily. I prayed to God after the mass and said sorry for not participating in the Mass.
When everything was over, we went outside to relax. We took some wonderful pictures with our classmates while we were outside. I had attempts in injecting my Flash drive in the laptop that was left on the table on the corner and play some music since my friends and I were bored since we had nothing else to do but to wait for the signal to go in the bus. My conscience got into me and decided to do other things for fun. When we got in the bus, the first thing that I did was to go to sleep. So I did until we reached STC gate 2. As soon as we got there I already took a tricycle and went home so I can go to sleep in a place more comfortable.
II. Insights
The documentary about the animals was boring. The place was awesome and definitely all about nature since there were plants all over. The stories were good to reflect on. It wasn't too hot or too cold. I reflected much to the stories and was able to see that God is indeed powerful. He created all things well and saw that it was good especially the human beings. Based on my experience, I didn't lose hope in having a great time even though I was sleepy in the end. About the Four Candles, I realized through the story that the world can lose love, peace, and faith but should always have hope left in them. There is always hope in being a star to everyone. In the stories, I came to appreciate other God's creations that are located far away from the Earth.

God has been with me until right now, as I am writing, through my parents. They tell me to be a good girl all the time by advising me not to say bad words and to finish all my homework now so I will free time tomorrow, Tuesday. I know that God is here today through my friends who put me on the right track just like my parents.
God can be anything and anybody in my daily life which and who guides me through life. He could be my parents who give and tell what's best for me. He could be my brother who always keeps me company when mom and dad are at work. He could be one of my best friends who makes me laugh and happy. He could be one of my best friends who tell me to be myself all the time and to control myself just in case I get talkative.
God can be some things and persons that make my day wonderful. He could be my alarm clock which wakes me up in the morning. He could be the hot water that I put into my Milo every morning to remind me to straighten up and get ready for school. He could be my tricycle driver who drives me to and from school so I can be safe. He could be the traffic enforcer who makes sure that I cross the street safely. He could be my one of my classmates who greets me in the morning so I start the day happily. He could be the warning bell at school which reminds everyone that it's almost recess, lunch, or dismissal; or it's time to line up and get ready for the next subject. He could be one of my teachers who teach me on how to become a good follower of Jesus. He could be the cockroach inside our classroom which reminds us to clean our room because it is already dirty. He could be the key of our room which will guard our room so no one can steal stuff from us while we are gone.
God can be in any form of safety and healthy gear. He could be Mrs. Sacdalan who reminds us to discipline ourselves so we get out of trouble. He could be the manongs and manangs who serve us food in the cafeteria and make sure that what we eat is healthy and safe. He could be the water in my water jug which refreshes me after P.E. classes, after I eat recess and lunch, and when I am just plane thirsty. He could be the food I eat everyday which energizes me to do activities.
God can be any of my school materials that help me in school works. He could be my pen which I use to write creative essays, poems, themes, and notes. He could be my reviewer or my notes which help me prepare for tomorrow's tests. He could be my school books which helps me in studying the lessons at school. He could be my guardian angel who secretly tells me the answers to the questions in the exams and quizzes so won't have the reason to cheat.
God could be anything that comforts me. He could be the trees which shades us from the too much warmness of the sun. He could be my umbrella which protects me from the rain. He could be my jacket which makes me warm when I am cold. He could be the electric fan which cools me down when I am burning up in sweat. He could be any of the benches which I sit on so I can rest my feet when I am tired. He could be my wallet which is the place where I put my money in and something that I bring with me so it would be safe. He could be my house where I eat, clean, and sleep with my family. He could be one of the people or persons who give me criticisms and tells me that I still have things to change so I can be a better person. He could be the sun after the rain which symbolizes that there is hope in everything.
God can be anything that makes me enjoy life. He could be one of the members of my favorite boy band who entertains me and relaxes me. He could be the one of the reporters and writers of the newspaper who keeps me updated in what's happening around me. God remains present in my life as I go through life everyday. I believe that He is with me all the time even though I don't see Him.
