it's December!!

and it has been a month since i last posted something here. and it's because November was a very busy month! so many things to do everyday and the most unexpected things happened. it was a super month of many surprises! and to think no one even knew they were gonna happen! it was a month of new beginnings i guess. the month that started many things and who knows when those things will end or if they will really end. in all, it was a month of drama, excitement, and happiness :D

so this December, i am sure they these three will continue and who knows, maybe they'll end this month. or maybe they will be even enhanced or downgraded. who knows, really? i am just too excited of what will next to me, to my friends and to our house which is getting a makeover by the way. and Christmas is just around the corner! that's something definite and positive to look forward to :D

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! :D

happenings this October :D

hello blogger!! my second post for the month and Pink October is almost over! :)

so what has been happening since i haven't post after my October Wish post?

well..

first week was all about preparation. preparation for our Final Examinations the week after. and it was dark times :))) well dark in a sense that i had to study and regain back my focus self from all that distractions. but distractions weren't gone until after my second october wish happened!! :D and that was to watch one of the Finals game of UST vs ADMU :D and i was with my friend who invited another friends and in the end, i gained another friend :D and then we ate dinner at MOA because it was late at night already and we caught up with other friends along the way before we ate :)

then the Final Exams came and goodness! it was exhausting!!! and super cramming was in session! because we had a free day on a Wednesday on that week and all i did was to watch the second game of the UAAP Men's Basketball game in a large screen from school where all other schoolmates watched and cheered for our team! but infortunately our school only landed second place. but it was all good since we got that far and that was great in itself. i feel sorry though for our graduating players since they weren't able to feel what it was like to be part of the champion team :P  but all in all, they were great! and i guess the opposing team was great since they were able to make it to their 5th straight win! :) happy for them but then i realized i had to go back to studying if i want to pass my final exams. and so the struggle to the finish line continued until it was finally over when after the Saturday exam ended :D

on that Saturday, we had our group's annual sleepover/drinking sessions ;D and it was FUN!!! :D we had a different location this time and it was great since we had snacks to eat and a new friend to join us and the salsa was great! -- which was made by our host friend's mom! and i had to bring home some because it was super delish! and then it was my first time to be fully drunk like hell! i was not in my mind half the time! i was crazying around and some things i can't remember like how i got in the bed :)) and good thing wearing off my contact lens wasn't a hustle at all :D the next morning, i was still dizzy and when i got home, i had a severe case of hangover like i couldn't stay awake and getting through that one-hour mass with the family was impossible that i had to get home asap so i can continue resting and sleeping whcih is what i mainly did on that whole Sunday.

my hangover ran for 2 days straight and i was cured until Tuesday when all that headache, dizziness and heavy head got out already. what happened next was something as bad as the hangover; my stomach got acidic. i was avoiding carbonated drinks and anything sour for three days! that's from Tuesday till Friday! and i didn't want to take the some ascorbic acid for my vitamins because it only meant more acid in my stomach. i was releasing liquidy waste which i will not go further into detail :P then it stopped at last and i begin going back to dipping grilled foods onto some vinegar.

but before i was normal, the family decided to celebrate my parents' 20th anniversary at the SM North EDSA Annex to play bowling on the day itself which was a Wednesday! :) and it was uber fun!!! :) my brother was good since he had it as his PE last sem and my dad was a pro even though he only learned how to bowl just by looking at his officemates play when they had a company outing before when i was a child. my mom was always lofting which was not allowed but no one dared to tell her since it was the only way she knew how to bowl and with that she even made some strikes and spares. and lastly, the only member who doesn't have any clue on how to play bowling was me :)) and it was pressure at the same time fun whenever it was my turn to bowl. i would always get a gutter or if i did get some pins down, many would be left and i only had one strike the whole time were bowling :))

then i was normal again come Saturday. but it was a dreaded one since it was the viewing of the grades! and i was super nervous to know if i had failing marks or not! and my Law 1 subject was the one that i was having doubts with because i knew i wasn't at my best every time we had quizzes and during the exams as well. so i was completely nervous to the point of being negative about it and tweeting stuff like how can i tell my parents that i failed Law and how my life would be having studying the same subject again next semester. then when i finally accessed to my grades -- which was not as easy as you think since it was online and there was traffic with the server not functioning well --  i was fully relieved!!! i had not failing marks!!! :D and i thanked Lord for that and my computer teacher who gave me a 1.25. i follow him on twitter and he follows me back so we're kinda friends :D and he told me that i was one of the highest on the written exams and i thanked him for being a good teacher and he said that i was just flattering him which was half true and half false :)) and it was fun to tweet with him :) i tell myself that if i meet him again along the halls of our building in school or on the roads of the school itself, i'll totally greet him! :D

and i shouldn't miss out on mentioning this. it is not on my October Wish but it is part of my Gamer Wish. and that is to play and finish the Pokemon Black and White 2 this semester break as quickly as possible!! and my brother and i only took about 5 days to defeat the game and there were no distractions, two more days for the post-game stuff to do like catching legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Kyurem. and playing pokemon was my stress-reliever since i was stressing out on what if i failed even one subject. so my attention got diverted somehow and it was effective :D and we defeated the game last October 22 which was the day after i hanged out with the adults.

i was invited by my mom to jog in the morning with her high school friends who are her friends till forever. and so i said yes because i had nothing to do really and i just finished reading Perks which i will discuss later and i just saw my no-failure-marks grades and i wanted to celebrate it! so i woke up early and took a bath and took a taxi to Quezon Memorial Circle where we will be jogging with my mom's friends. then when we saw them finally, they finished already and i can't say we were too late because looking fro them in the circle, what part of the circle they were chilling out was hard to know where so my mom and i looked for them the whole hour so it was like jogging but just walking with my mom exploring the circle. then when we met up with them, we just ate our breakfast, talked about their trip to Palawan on October 30 until November 4 and how my mom can't come and how i should take her place since i look like her and i am pretty much close now to her friends. but after that, i decided to invite my mom's friend's daughter to come with and see the inside of the museum. then we went in and looked at all the stuff there is about Manuel Quezon, our first President of the Commonwealth. then after we knew about him, we went out back to the our meeting place with the adults -- our moms -- and we saw her siblings who came along and now adults were on site. according to her sibling, the adults went and ate "lugaw" and left them there. and it was about to rain then so while waiting under the shades of a cottage-like structure, i took the opportunity to read but no luck because the adults showed up and got us in their cars and my mom and i got in as well and we went to SM North EDSA with her 2 friends :)) then we were checking out on cameras, celphone deals and sim cards and phone networks and other gadgets like tablets, chargers, laptop cases.

until we decided to watch a local movie called This Guy's In Love With You Mare -- a gay who tries to wreck a relationship between his ex-boyfriend and the guy's current girlfriend so the guy can go back to the gay. the gay's plan was funny!!! :)) super! the gay pretended to be a guy who will pursue the girl then make her fall for the gay; and if this is successful, the girl will eventually break up with the guy and the gay can have the guy again. but turns out, the guy really loves the girl. and even if the girl was really mad about finding out the truth that the one pursuing her is gay and her boyfriend had a relationship with the gay, the guy never stopped going after the girl. the gay realized that the girl was nice and that he'll give up on the guy since the guy really loves the girl. in the end, the girl and the guy gets married and the gay who thought has found his love found out that that guy who he thought was the one for him is a priest. so it was super funny and i watched that movie with the adults :D

then going back, because of that relief feeling after playing Pokemon, i was able to finish reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower :) which was a dream come true for the my first October Wish :) and it was a good book to read. all you have to do is to be open about every issue a teen would have in his teenage life because that's what the book is all about: teenage issues. then with that, i started reading The Catching Fire; second book of Hunger Games series. if there weren't any distractions that week, i would have finished it in three days :P but of course, it was semester break so i had other things to do and places to go to :)

so i finished the book, yep in three days. but not straight three because i started the book on a Monday then Tuesday then on that Wednesday was our college's clearance day so i wasn't able to read since i had to go to school and i helped out buying materials for our college week this coming semester and i went to stay in my friend's apartment after and it was all fun! :)

then the next day was our college's enrollment day and i got to school so early that there wasn't a line yet and i had to wait for my other friends to finish their enrollment so we can have lunch that early in the morning and hang out and meet up with other friends in our building. then i went home early since it was raining at school and the wind was strong like another storm will come so we decided to leave early and some friends stayed to wait for our other friends to finish their enrollment. so i bought some lunch again and i was home alone. i have not the energy to read since the tv was on because Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 was showing on HBO and i couldn't possibly miss it even though i have watched it already with my brother. so i just tweeted while watching and quoting lines from the movie that i liked. then i got a message from my best friend to call her up. so i did. since i was alone at home, it was better for me to talk to someone than just watch the tv.

when i called her on the phone like we usually do as part of our awesome friendship, we talked about our lives in our first semester and how we were around people. and how we were with our crushes. and how were both home alone that's why she asked me to call her up. and how we were both hungry and looking for food in our own houses. and how we would be for dinner since we have no one yet with us when it was already evening. and how we missed the Jonas Brothers Concert which was a big thing for us since we are fans and the band played a big part of our friendship. and how we were teasing each other about our crushes. and how i told her about the issues that this particular college friend of mine has. and how she thought somehow mocking him was funny. and how she would definitely fit in in my college group of friends when she gets to meet them. then we hang up when my dad came home finally because i was too scared to be alone then because it was finally dark outside and i was alone at home. and if it weren't for the phone call with my best friend, i would totally be super scared then.

so the next day Friday, was i thought was about rebuilding the house since it was a holiday for the end of Ramadan and we were promised that someone that our laundry lady knows will be volunteering for the rebuilding of the walls of the house. but then he didn't show up as agreed so my dad who wanted it so much decided that we should totally go bowling again!! :)) and it was fun i tell you! because this time my dad told me and showed me how to knock those pins dead and all i had to do was listen to him and do as he says. so i did and voila! i got a handful of spares!!! and a strike! how can that possibly happen when i did only what i was told to do? then i remembered how my dad was to learn by just watching his colleagues play and how he was a pro for me as well and how obeying and believing in what he says i should do will give me some of those spares and a strike. and true enough, even though he was somehow limping since his leg or knee was tired from the last time's bowling, he was still able to get 100 plus points and that only made me want to idolize him in bowling. so wasn't able to read on this Friday as well.

then the fun never ended with eating and other activities! on that day Friday when we had our second time around bowling, we never stopped eating while waiting for our reservation at 5pm in Bowling. it was nonstop! we had lunch at Bario Fiesta, merienda at Army Navy and snacks with Brownies! and we bowled until like 10pm and we still ate ''dinner" at Jollibee with spaghetti for my mom, my dad had a cheese burger and my brother and i had crispy chicken wings with fries which was new for the fast food. then we head home. i wore off my contacts asap so i can sleep already because i was tired like the rest of the family was. then Saturday came and it was the day when i finally finished reading the Catching Fire!! :D

so yeah. that Saturday was dedicated to finishing Catching Fire and i finally did! and i was super happy because that meant continuing with Mockingjay! i was expecting to start reading it the Sunday then but my mom wanted us to go jogging again at the Memorial Circle so we did and this time with my brother. so we went and we were earlier than last time so while my brother and I joined the jog with the others who were already jogging around the circle, my mom decided to stay at the Flower Garden to join in the aerobics people with their crazy mix of pop songs as their background music. my brother and i jogged for the first round then walked then jogged then walked until i went to the washroom. he continues with jogging and i agreed meeting up where my mom was dancing with the crowd. then we met up, we walked then jogged and walked again until we went for breakfast in the bazaar. i ate barbecue with rice, my brother ate "lugaw" and my mom ate "lumpian shanghai". then we went to buy buko juice and hotdog. then we bought a neat shuttlecock so we can play badminton! and we did! and it was fun because the last time we remembered playing badminton was about last 7 years ago but i am exaggerating. maybe just 5 years ago, not sure though. anyway, then we went on for 30 mins then we jogged again. then after jogging fro two rounds, my brother 4, we cleaned up and checked out the museum. then after that, we took a cab, stopped by the church, then head home for good but got some groceries along the way. then we were beat. we took a nap then watched tv. i tweeted. waited for the lady who manicures and pedicures the family then watched a little more tv before finally going to bed to rest my body.

that leads us to this morning. woke up at around 9:15am and tweeted stuff. tweeted about how annoying my cousin is, copying my every move, my every tweet, my every crush. she's been following me since we were young. wherever i went she tails around. whenever i do things, she does them as well. whenever i eat something, she wants one as well. whatever i wear, she's gotta have the same thing too. so now, that we follow each other on twitter, i see how she tries to copy me. she even followed my crush as well. this i don't get since my crush is a university basketball player and you'll know him if you watch the games on tv and if you don't have cable i don't think you know him. i just feel like.. does she want him as her crush as well because of what she sees on my tweets that i am crushing about him and i am very vocal about it? goodness. it's ok if i knew that she was watching as well, that she also knows about the games, that she tweets about them as well like me. but that's not the case. worse comes to worst, she;s gonna retweet stuff that he retweets and i am super gonna question her about that when she does. because i think she just wants us to have a common crush but i don't want how she wants it to be. it's not natural like that. i think she should just be original on her own and stop copying me already because we aren't kids now. as you can see, i like to be as unique and original as possible and i don't like it when someone copies me especially without my permission. i guess maybe, i don't like the idea that she's into the same things as i am because we are from different parts of the world. and having been interested in the same things is questionable. and if she's using me as her idol to look cool and all, thanks but i rather not have some idolize me and copy me because i like to be original and if you copy me it's like plagiarism and if you look at my facebook posts, you'll see how i super dislike plagiarism.

wow! i guess it was a good move not telling anyone i know except for my best friend about my blog. this is the place for me to rant, to share anything i can't share on facebook because my relatives and parents are my friends there and to share anything i can't on twitter when i want to say something about those people who i follow and follow me back like my cousin who loves to copy me. so i feel relieved again that this has been shared to anyone who are not my friends on facebook and who are not following me on twitter. at least you guys are people who just like to read stuff about me and i guess in that way i kind of talked to a person who just sits there in front of their monitor or screens, listening to my rants and my feelings and my experiences :D so thanks to those who keep on viewing my blog even though i don't get any feedback except for the stats that i see about how many people visit my blog and what countries most of them come from and what they read on my posts :)

so that's for the whole month of October!!! it's almost November and i have to say, my dad did not allow me to go by myself with the adults who are my mom's high school friends to Palawan. so my only activity before resuming of classes this coming November 5 will be reading and hopefully finishing Mockingjay and still continue tweeting and probably watch some movies if ever i get a chance to get my hands on my dad's external hard disk where my movies were transferred to so my laptop will be free from those heavy loaded movies :) that is all for the month! see you on November with it's yellow theme!! adios! till then!! :D

benefits forgone = opportunity cost

that's how my cost accounting professor defined opportunity cost -- benefits forgone :)

and now, it is super applicable more than ever!

the benefits forgone

today, i was suppose to be buying tickets with classmates for the Semi-finals game this Saturday, September 29 (UST vs. NU). but my friend texted me that we should instead watch our friends' general assembly, because we weren't able to buy Patron seats tickets and two of our friends who supposedly will be watching the game with us aren't sure if they are gonna get a permission to attend their class in the evening instead of having it in the afternoon. before receiving that text from her and since i was desperate to watch the game this Saturday, i chatted my classmate who i saw posting on facebook that he, together with 2 other classmates of ours, are gonna watch the game! my want to watch the game was overwhelming that asked that classmate if i can join him and two other classmates to watch the game! they all said yes and i was relieved... until, my friend texted me to watch the general assembly instead. so i was not feeling comfortable with the idea that i will be watching the game not with my friends but with classmates. and i felt super bad that i would be watching the game live and they wouldn't even though they wanted to watch as well. so awhile ago, an hour before we got dismissed in our last class, i asked for an advice from two of my trusted friends who are also my classmates. i asked what would they prioritize, their want or their time with friends? the other said i should pick my want because it is what i want anyway. and the other, who i trust even more, said that i should watch the GA because these are my friends and there will be more games to come. that friend of mine who i trusted even more knows that i super want to watch these games live and her knowing that part of me and advising what she had advised helped me in deciding not to watch to game and watch the GA instead :D

now, that i got home from school, i chatted a classmate who was one of those who i was suppose to watch the game. i asked if they were able to buy tickets.. and she said yes! and i was half disappointed and like part of me died because i super wanted to watch the game and this could be the last game for our school's team if they lose. but what made me feel better was the thought that i will be with my best buddies in college who i consider as part of my many best friends and i will be there to support them in their performances! :D

so i am still happy whatsoever. the benefit of watching the game live can't replace a guilt-free feeling that i am with my friends and i am gonna be happy with them :D

the cost of the opportunity to watch the last game of the month live is less than the good vibes that i get when i am with my friends doing that one thing that i always do best: supporting them :D

TIMELINE MADNESS!!!

it's official. I JUST GOT TIMELINED!!! it's very sad because i was the last wall-user in my group of friends called HIgh Fashion. and i was very careful not to click the "Get Timeline" button. and I SWEAR! and i never swear, this would be my first  and last, I DID NOT press that button!

what happened was i logged in to facebook before going to the school library to study for our last 2 exams for our prelims this first semester. i used Google Chrome and didn't logged out because that's how i always did it on Mozilla (just happen to click Google Chrome first before Mozilla). then when i got back from school and checked on facebook, a banner SUDDENLY appeared on top of my screen and said that I AM USING TIMELINE!! and i was shocked and my mood went down a little (in a very shallow way).

then i took the tour to timeline anyway. i mean, i have to get used to it eventually so i took the liberty of taking a tour. then there was "actually" something good that i can get from this timeline! and that is to change or design my timeline cover! :D

so i guess i have to deal with it and just accept it since i can't change it back to my wall.

like what Walt Disney said, i must "Keep Moving Forward" no matter what happens :D

good night! imma sleep already :)

on the bright side

if you see majority of fellow Filipinos seen on cam on the news, they still managed to cast a smile on their faces despite the storm.

and i still get updates from my friends so i know they're safe.

and my family is complete at home right now. mom and dad didn't go to work due to heavy rains this morning, and my brother has suspended classes. i don't have an exam today so didn't have to go to school even if there is no rain. but school got suspended anyway.

and house is not flooded. it never does get flooded. just blessed that this is where i live on this particular location where no matter how flooded its close by streets are, it still doesn't get flooded.

still #PrayForThePhilippines and pray for other Filipinos who are in locations that are flooded and in state of calamity.

What My Name Says About Me

this app in facebook just scared the hell out of me because it was too accurate :DD

it's because it is true. i do sometimes or most of the times because i have to say, i kind of or really sometimes judge a book by its cover. it's because it is inevitable. i notice even the smallest details that i can't possibly just bottle up all those tiny details or else i might explode! hehe. just kidding. i won't explode. i'm not even half fat.

about the second sentence, i do need to do that. because most of the times or maybe a couple of times, i suffer because at those times, i don't even think about my own feelings. because sometimes, i'm too nice which is bad. because of this, there are times when i give the last one i have and end up with nothing.

and the last sentence is super true! i have been facing so many challenges. i am currently challenged to regret nothing and just be happy with what i have now. i guess i feel bitter about one thing. that one thing is something that i always thought that i have moved on from. it's about being admitted at the country's state university.

you see, since i am the eldest, just like the science experiments, i am the experimental variable that is to be tested to see if a theory is correct. this means that if they believe in this, and wonder if it applies to this, i am the one who gets experimented with. (you get it, right. i don't have to elaborate on this) anyway, so since that is always the case, sometimes, it is a good thing that i was first to try so i will be the FIRST to experience it. but most of the times, it is a bad thing because as we all know, when we do trial and error method, there is a very high probability that we will get a wrong answer. that is me. whenever my parents experience something new, because of the advancement that is occurring in our generation, they try whatever it is that they think is the right way on me. which sucks. because most of the times, they get the negative results from me and so to avoid the same mistake, they already know what to do and my younger brother gets the positive results. thing is, there is a review center that can help you to pass the state university's entrance exam. so, since my parents are like: that's too expensive for a review center and the review center itself is far from home and you are a girl. even if you passed, you can't go anyway because it is too far and we can't let you live in a dorm. that's what they said.

and so, in short, i didn't even try to give effort into passing the entrance exam of the state university. because i knew of these things that my parents had to say and i was discouraged... NOT! i didn't have hope anyway. in the first place, i reviewed for entrance exams in my high school itself. and they lack in the topics that have to be reviewed for the exam. and the environment was so lax! didn't have motivation. in the review center, they had quizzes once every meeting. no wonder! tsk. so i am bitter. only when the subject comes up the surface. and i am not afraid to tell my parents face to face that i do regret not being able to pass the state university's entrance exam. because i told them that my friends from high school are offering me to be part of a bundle that has a lower fee but at the same time has the right things to teach for entrance exams. but they refused. told me that it was expensive and the review is far. but remembered clearly that i told them that i was going to the center with a friend who lives nearby. so, i was and still am and will be the trial child :(( as long as i'm still studying and there are still upcoming advancements, i will always be the trial child.

and the sad part is that i am still happy about the fact that my brother was able to pass the state university's entrance exam. i pretend that i am ok and not jealous at my brother. yeah sure. why shouldn't i be happy? i was the one who brought him to the review center and had to wait there for 5 hours until his review is done for the day. why wait for that long? well, i am not familiar with the place, so i don't know how to go about it. but it doesn't matter because he passed! :D and all my waiting was worth it. since i am bitter about that, all i can be happy about is that i am having fun right now in the university that i am going to because of my awesome best friends. another thing that i can be happy about and forget about that bitterness is that my brother just passed that freaking entrance exam! hayzzz... i want to feel what he feels right now because whether i like it or not he has a lot of bragging rights with him right now. he just passed freaking state university where all the graduates don't have to apply for job because those job will have to fight for you.

now, aside from no having an edge since i am not studying in the state university, i still have to put a lot of effort so jobs will fight for me as well. about that, i think my chances of experiencing that is lessened since i will be taking the retention exam this summer. that's right. i screwed up the first semester but i passed; i just wasn't able to reach the minimum grade to have to not take the retention exam. so, yeah.

because of all of this,  i am working my butt off! ........ NOT REALLY! well, at least not always. but whenever there is something to be done for school, i always feel like giving it more than my all.  and since the tuition fee is more than twice of the state university's, i am obliged to show my parents that i am worth it. that is what i have to put up with since i didn't pass the state university's entrance exam. i have to prove myself. i have to be positive. i have to reach a goal that is SUPER DUPER HIGH! almost impossible to reach is what i say. but there is a probability to reach if i give super duper extra effort.

talk about myself! i guess i am an expert when it comes to myself. i mean, if there is anyone who knows me the best, it's only me and God. even, God knows me more than i know myself. so He knows what i am capable of. and He won't give me any challenge that i can't surpass with flying colors. that is why, i am not losing hope. even when i knew i wasn't going to study in the state university, i had the last drop of hope in me. there was little hope but i still had hope. and i guess part of me was to be blamed. i guess since i had little hope, i didn't give it my all... or did i. all i know is that i answered the exam with everything that i know. so, perhaps, what i know wasn't enough. i still have to learn. that is why i keep an open mind. if i don't, there is no room for improvement and i will not become a better person.

so that's me. feeling bitter here and then when the topic is surfaced. but truthfully, feeling happy and proud of the fact that my brother made it. and i guess that this is all God's plan and indeed, i am learning from the mistake of not having that much hope. also, since God can see that i am giving my effort now, He gave me awesome friends who help me forget about transferring schools or forget about being bitter of that experience.

i am now feeling much better. well, better since the topic is going to be surfaced for the week since my brother passed and the results just came in yesterday.  so if ever the bitterness starts to show up, i'll just have to think about the awesome things that i have with my college best friends especially the things that happened starting about 6 and a half hours ago and ended 2 hours later that time.

we stayed for 2 hours in our friend's apartment to celebrate the end of preliminary exams for the semester. we had milk tea from Moon Leaf and there wintermelon with pudding is good. music played in my friend's room and we were singing and dancing and laughing about past experiences which are of course funny to imitate :))) especially the one that i did in the library. that is another story but really, i love my friends. they make my day :D

and oh yeah! i told three of them about this blog's site and maybe they'll read this so, HI FRIENDS! :D

and that is what my name says about me. A LOT! it says so much that it was too accurate. and because it was accurate and precise as well, i was able to reflect about myself and come to accept that this is me and somehow i guess i have to change my down sides and strengthen my up sides, learn from my mistakes and rejoice from the right things i do, and avoid to revenge and regret and remember to always forgive and forget like i always do :D

i'm out! PEACE! :D CONGRATZ TO MY BROTHERHOOD! :DDDD

my best friends :D

wow! wait. i just copied the link of my previous post about feeling down because of some irritating and jealous feelings. this post will be like a follow up on that.

this is the link: i-am-down-down-down-down-down that is the title of the post that i had. it is best to read it before continuing with this new post that i am going to make.

it starts with this.
a month after my 18th birthday...

ME: this is so irritating blah blah blah ... because i don't want to be part of this blah blah blah ... how come it never happens to  me blah blah blah ... every single year, they do this to a friend and not thinking of doing it to me blah blah blah ...

i never wanted any gifts and just one special gift is fine but i never got both, the simple special gift and the 'any' gifts from my friends in elementary or in high school. i was jealous of other friends who end up with either or both of the simple special gift and 'any' gifts from friends.

you see, before, i always think that "hey! i want to be part of this because she is my friend too and i think that it would be really nice to be part of something simple yet special gift from all of us who are her friends." i myself did think of doing something special for a friend but it ends up that they thought and acted on it before i did. so, i just went on with their plans of surprising a friend on her birthday.

but then, a month after my 18th birthday, i realized that "hey! it has been 18 years and throughout those years, i have been part of something big for a friend but i was never the one who is "for a friend". how come i am always one of those who is "part of something big"?" -- i just read this paragraph and i think it's a bit complicated but i guess you readers can go back and analyze what i'm trying to say :D

so i was irritated of the thought i am once again part of something big but not the one who is for a friend. i just turned 18. i thought deep and started to realize many things already. i was in the process of thinking my life through ever since i gained consciousness and knowledge about the world.

it has been quite some time that passed. i celebrated my 18 and half year with my college friends. i treated them with Shakey's party pack -- something like that. it had two 8-slice pizzas, two pastas, and ten pieces of fried chicken in a bucket that came with a number of mojos enough for every one int he group (we are originally nine in the group but three friends weren't able to make it so we were six). we had drinks like cola and a liquor (or was it tequila in particular? i forget). it was fun! we played cards. i got little tipsy and dizzy. i peed in sweat pants that i was wearing. every one was confessing about things that we were guilty about. there were secrets and hidden feelings that let out. and of course, we had a sleepover in our friend's house near our school. overall, it was an experience to remember in my whole 18 years of existence.

but you see, when we celebrated, it was also for our first-semester-has-ended party. it was last October 8, friday? wait, i'll check the calendar... oops! it was last October 7, Friday. a week from my real 18 and a half birthday. i was planning to celebrate it with my best friend but it was still a day of her exams so, it was cool. she made up by calling me on over the phone the day after her last day in school for the semester. and that was last October 18, Tuesday, the day after my parents' 19th wedding anniversary. we talked on the phone about stuff that best friends talk about. it was our bonding day on the phone. but even if it was just on the phone it was awesome since i was talking to my best friend and we were having fun! :D and i couldn't forget, she was the first one person to greet me a Happy Brithday on my 18th. she texted me at midnight and it was my first text and birthday greeting of the day! :)

and because of that, i wanted to visit her in her school but failed and i wanted to be her first greeter for her birthday but failed again. failed on so many things but i did something that was a success. i made her cry on her birthday bash! :)) i think that i was the only one who was able to do that and i guess that it was something special that i did for her  :PPP

now, with all that in mind and with all those that i experienced, i forgot about the irritating and jealous feelings and thoughts that i had. i was totally over them. i moved on.

and then came this class Christmas party last December 16, Friday morning. i was shocked! surprise even! full of joy! i thought that it was super inappropriate to cry so i didn't even think about doing it and it never crossed my mind because what happened that morning was only in my dreams. it wasn't as grand as i thought it in my dreams. but it was a something to remember. it was a first in my life. and yes. i am this happy that i am blogging about it. it may sound shallow but that is just the way i am.shallow which is the reason why my best friend's text was already a big thing of present for me and why the mere presence of my little cousin was enough to make my birthday happy. the same reason why i never got one of those simple special or 'any' gifts from friends. because i was shallow and i wouldn't want attention because of my birthday.

but you see, some people understand. they understand that i was shallow and even the simplest of things can please or sadden me.

so you're asking now, why? what happened? why is this Deejey saying these things?

well... they, my college best friends (best friends means not all of the 8 of my friends that are part of my group of closest friends in college), thought of doing the thing that i was jealous and irritated about when i was on the other side of the fence.

they gave me a simple special gift that they funded all together. they freaking surprised me during the class' Christmas party. they sang Happy Birthday for me and then of course gave me my present! the present was simple yet special. it was  a new deck of cards! they know that i play cards and i even play cards with them during our free times. it was simple because it was just a deck of cards. but what made it special was that they thought of it and they thought of me and the cards weren't the ordinary kind. it had a different color. instead of the background being white, it ahd black instead. and it was indeed special because before, my college best friends talked about cards that had different colors other than white background. we talked about how it was more expensive than the famous casino card deck sold in the grocery cashiers. it was unforgettable! i never thought that what we were talking about was the thing that i will be getting as my 18th-birthday present! it was the only tangible present that i got from friends.

when they gave their gift to me, i thought "my high school friends didn't even think of doing something like this for me for my 18th birthday." at least my best friend did something. but my other friends in highschool? well they greeted me alright. via SMS and facebook. well, those are might as well birthday gifts, right? but i felt more loved because of what my college best friends did. i mean, i felt the love from my best friend, i always do. she always gets to tolerate my annoying and irritating characteristics. and i always appreciate her especially when she understands all the time even though i am sometimes unreasonable. i feel her love most especially when she forgives me in times when i do silly and stupid things to her. So, i don't expect anything from her because she does things to me that i don't think anyone can do; and that is to stick with me as her best friend even though i cancel out on the times when we are suppose to see each other or even though i don't visit her house or her school.

what was touching with my best friedn is she never misses out on putting in her Christmas message the lines: i miss you or i love you. that's amazing, right?

the thing is, before, i only felt the love of my best friend, but now, i have felt love from more people; and they are my college best friends.

all in all, i am SURPRISED!!! :D surprised for what my best friends can do for me, may it be my best friend or my college best friends. and i am happy and proud to call them all my best friends. :DDD

up and down

after all the excitement, there is always a downside.

Excitement
i went to Island Cove yesterday with my mother and my brother! it was UBER FUN, most especially the WATER PARK! i spent the morning with my brother. we first went to the zoo. we got scared, a little bit, going through all the animals because some didn't have cages and we were afraid that a snake would attack us from the trees on the side of the walking area. so we didn't quite enjoyed that but it was a an experience of muddy and rocky roads. then we went to the fishing park. there many cottages and you can eat in them. you can also fish while in that park for PhP100 only but if you have your own rod, you can just pay PhP50. we tried fishing but unfortunately we weren't able to catch any. so we went next to the Water Park! we had to wear something that doesn't have any sleeves and isn't made of denim or else, we won't be allowed in the pool. when we're done changing, we headed straight in the pool! we dived, swam, and went for some sliding experience! the water in the pool had chlorine so we had red eyes during and after we went for a swim. we slid 4 times! and jumped into the pool a lot of times; and we even got the chance to touch the floor of the pool! :D the last food--palabok with puto and Lipton tea-- that we ate in the cove was the best if i were to compare it with the breakfast and lunch that were offered to us. before we went home, my brother and I got to see my mom's office! it was NICE! :D when we got home, it was time for dinner. we had a delivery of box of six from KFC. when it was time for bed, we had a good night sleep! :D

Downside
so we had fun and all but there were some things that were unavoidable. first of all, i accidentally lost my iPod in the bus that we took when we went to Island Cove. Second, it was my High School's Annual Family Day and i wasn't able to bond with my best friend before she left today to Hong Kong. Third, my brother had bruises on his pointing fingers as souvenirs from the cove. Fourth, I LOST MY iPOD IN THE BUS TO THE COVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that was not just an iPOD, it was from my dear cousin! OH MAN! FOR ALL THE THINGS THAT WERE LOST, IT HAD TO BE MY iPOD! EVEN THOUGH IT WAS JUST AN iPOD SHUFFLE, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

another one of those sadness and happiness stuff

i got my Laptop yesterday on my parents' 18th Anniversary! YAHOO!!!!!!

it's mine but everyone in the family gets to use it.

it's only fair for them to do that because i wasn't the one who bought it and it wasn't my money. i was with them waiting for the dude to install everything that's necessary for the laptop.

also, they helped me pick up the rightful mouse for my laptop.

now that i have a laptop, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH DOUGH TO FULLY PAY FOR MY TUITION FEE!!!

anyway, that's the current problem and i don't know if my parents thought of the thing called "installment payment". if ever that term hasn't cross their minds yet, then i'll have to remind them about it.

K! that's all for now! :D

It Keeps Getting Better and Worse at the same time

Mode: sharing
Currently listening to: Don't Forget - Demi Lovato

Things are getting more and more boring for the past weeks since the review was over. I had nothing productive to do after our review. All that I did for two weeks was sit on the couch and watch television. I didn't even thought of posting here in my blog. How lame is that? And check this. I recall saying that I got used to waking up early because of our review but it only worked for a week because the week after that, I went back to the lazy old me. My plans for studying and reviewing more was scrapped out and up until now I haven't started reading yet my school books that I was suppose to read earlier so I don't have to cram reading them during the school year. Still things keep getting better.

May 1st was Ellen's 1oooth show. I watched it May 5th, its repeat telecast, since we are two episodes behind. I have been watching Ellen ever since the start of May. It airs in 2nd Avenue 8pm. I watch the repeat telecast the next day at 12 noon. It was awesome because they viewed the most hilarious episodes they ever had for the past 999 episodes. There was the guest star whose name I forgot. He was the only guest. There were alot of funny videos that were picked out from youtube, too.

Then came May 10. It was my Brother's 13th Birthday and also was Mother's Day. We had fun celebrating it on both May 9th, Saturday, and the day itself, Sunday. We went to SM North Edsa on May 9, I think and we ate at Barrio Fiesta on Mother's Day (which was also my brother's birthday). It was a double celebration. I have to say. The food there was great but the service was super duper slow. If you ordered at 12 noon flat, for example, your order will be served after 45 minutes but not all your orders are served yet. Even so, I have to admit, their Sizzling Sisig was awesome! I liked it alot even though I had to wait for it for an hour. Can you believe that? I even finished it but not by myself of course. But I ate, like, 3/4 of it. It was delectable!

May 11 was the day when I was suppose to meet my friends at Yellow Cab in Katipunan. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come because there was no way for me to go there, literally. No one in the family wanted to accompany me in goign there. My Dad said that it was too far away. My mom told me that I can still go if I had someone to go there with but I can't think of any. My friends all have their review in Katipunan so it's easy for them to go there. To be honest, I was super sad that I wasn't able to come with because I was expected to be there and I already had a gift wrapped for my friend's sweet sixteen birthday! Now, you see how life is so unfair to me. I felt even mor sad when my friend told me that I was the only blog/group member who wasn't there. It was also the chance for me to my other friend's gift for her 15th birthday since I wasn't able to produce any durting the month of her birthdate, January.

Anyway... There was fun still yet to come that week. The next day was the third long-bonding time for me and my brother. We had our snacks at McDonald's. We talked about stuff, the usua (of course you don't know our usual talks because it's going to be between me and my brother only).

Then 13th May was an ordinary boring day. What's awesome in that day was when it was comfirmed that my mom and dad decided to take the day off the next day, 14th may. It was because someone has to get me enrolled at school or I won't be able to graduate high school. It was funny because the other parent thought that the other was going to do it instead.

The next day was the school's enrollment day, May 14. I wasn't able to come with my mom who decided to enroll all by herself. So my dad stayed at home with me and my brother and had a bonding moment with the his children at home. Things weren't boring that day when mom got home with our school supplies and my books. (NOTE: It has been a tradition that my mom buys my brother's school supplies in my school because his school sucks and lacks school supplies.) My mom had the time to take a half day at work so she went to her office after eating lunch together as one whole family. When she left, dad got lazy and didn't go to his work anymore. He had his nap then. My brother went in the Internet Cafe in the neighborhood to play DoTA. And I didn't just sit there and watch television. Instead someone saved me from boredom that time. Itwas my old buddy and still best friend.

We had a chat about our Electives this coming school year. Her Elective is all about computer. my elective is all about writing. WE talked on the phone. It took us 99 minutes talking which annoyed my father a little since he was taking nap on the couch near the big couch where I sat and talked to my friend. Even though we ALWAYS take different paths in life, our friendship is as strong as the hardest candy there is; no matter how strong your teeth are, they will never break our candy. Only the saliva of death can melt us down together... Anyway... I said those stuff because I am very impressed with our friendship. We've been friends since the 3rd grade, though we've been classmates since 1st grade. It's a long story... but I promise to tell the story about my experience with friendship some other time. BUt now some more updates on what I have been doing for weeks...

After my dad had a nap that day, my brother and I planned to watch Ned's Declassified School Survival after i talked on the phone and my brother came back home the cafe. But my father woke up and he wanted, I guess, to bond with his two children. So we played cards. That was 4pm to 6pm. After two hours of playing cards, I watched American Idol. I have been psyched up on what's going on in that show ever since I watched the top 7. I've been cheering for Allison but she went home already so I went to focus on Danny. But then he went home last week. Now my vote is on Kris. I like him more than Adam, that's for sure.

The next day, May 15, was nothing but a normal day. There's another series that is added on our list of must-watch-shows/series. The series is an anime. It's very interesting, to be honest. It's called Yu Yu Hakusho or as we like to call it here in the Philippines, Ghost Fighter. It started airing last two weeks ago, I think.

Then this Saturday, May 16, came. It's y grandmother's birthday. Though, she didn't tell us her exact age, I willl ask my dad about it. Today is Monday, May18. Last Saturday was the time when I was supposed to get my hair rebonded in the mall but there wasn't anough time to do it so my brother and I went to the internet cafe at the mall and do whatever we want while mom went to buy groceries. I started writing this post at that Saturday but mom finished early so I wasn't able to finish. So instead of stopping it here on what happened last Saturday, I will continue it until what has happened today.

Sunday, May 17, was the moment of truth. I had to decide if I will push through the process of straightening my hair and make look better and look easier to handle for my mom. I agreed for the reasons that I don't have to arguw with my mom, and i wanted it to get over with already. So it happened for six hours. from 2pm to 8pm. IT was a success and I feel and realize that this is the WORST hairdo i ever had!

Now, i must not wet my straight hair. For if I do, I would've wasted my time sitting inside the parlor letting strange people touch and mess up my hair for my mother. I'm just saying that since I went to the process already, at least have to do my job in maintaining it. Or else, my mom would notice that I don't like it then it's likely that she will surely get mad at me. (there are the words likely ad surely... that means it's either of the two and i know that it's wrong grammar...) In short, I took a bath without lettingmy hair get wet. How hard is that. I'm going back to the parlor this coming Saturday. I want to cut my hair short so I can enjoy it a little. That means bathing without lettin gmy hair get wet for one week starting today.

That's not the only thing etraordinary today. Will you believe me when I say that I just reviewed half of Biology today? Well, yes I did. I resisted the television and the computer this time. It helped me save myself from boredom.

So that's about it. i just wantto remind myself about translating something in english which written by me originally in tagalog. IT's pretty awesome. I;m going to tell story about it too. I also want to post about my friend whom, if she were to read my blog, would not want to be friends with me anymore. It's all about the friend who didn't want to tell me her secret until we had a heart-to-heart talk last March. She's having a hard time now and I want to share things in this blog about me and her. It's going to be a little dramatic and emotional since we've been through a lot more than you think. Her, being my classmate last school year helped me know her more. And I think it's about time anyway that you understand her the way I understood her. I am just waiting for her to open things up with me. When she is ready to tell me everything, I'll be sharing a little with you. That is if I remember sharing it to you...

Anyway... things are getting better as time goes by for me and my friends. BUt it gets worse for myself and my hair and the way I handle my time. I'm not really good at self-discipline but I'm trying control myself one step at a time.

So I hope to post about the things I promise to post about. The onlyh problem I have is time. It's too short. and the world is so unfair. We have a computer at home but its internet speed is slow. We can't use my dad's celphone which has high speed because he complains about how high his bill is.

Anyway... I hope things get better for me more than worse...

It Has Been A LONG Time...

Mode: I'm back!
Currently listening to: My Life Would Suck Without You - Kelly Clarkson

I'm only posting now because this is the only time I've got when my hands are tingling to do something like typing.

Here's what happened for the past days and weeks of April...

First Week - Not much had happened except for eating soft diet for my new lower braces. I'm not allowed to eat anything crispy or hard-to-chew foods.

Second Week - It was very challenging 'cause there were two none working days at that week. I had to compete for the remote control.

Third Week - My birthday was a success, though it was simple and we celebrated it at home. It's my 16th birthday so there were many foods. there was homemade sandstorm, baked macaroni, spaghetti, and double dutch cake from Goldilock's. It wasn't very extravagant but there were a lot of foods which I like and love the most! My birthday, April 14, was supposed to be the start of the reviews for entrance exams at school. It was moved to April 15, birthday of my most favorite seatmate ever!

The first day of review was awesome! The teachers were great and very impressive. I just hope the teacher in math who I fear (he's a guy) won't be my teacher in Trigonometry next school year! The teacher in Physics was somehow boring. But, as time goes by, she can pull some jokes! I hope she'll be our class' teacher next year because it has been said that she is better than the other Physics teacher. The English teacher is awesome! There was never a dull moment except when she discusses, which is something she does very briefly. During discussion, she makes a joke. They're really funny!

Then I believe it was a Sunday when my best and I, along with another friends of ours, went to SM Sta. Mesa to watch a movie. And that very fortunate movie would be... "17 Again", starring the one and only, Zac Efron!!! The movie had a sense of humor, lessons to learn, and a lot of Zac Efron!!! It was amazingly awesome, dude!!! You should try watching it if you haven't seen it!

Fourth Week - The last week of review for summer vacation. We still have Saturday Classes for the next school year for us to refresh our minds of what we have already learned in the review. The last day was not really that memorable, so was the second to the last day. Things weren't that exciting anymore and weren't that fun anymore as well. I got bored. The only constant was that I was late from first day to last day! How cool is that?! But I know that I can't do that during regular classes at school...

Fifth Week - In general, I kinda trained myself last Monday, April 27, to wake up as early as 8am. It was because of the 2-week review. I had to wake up at 6am but still managed to be tardy the whole review.

Anyway, since I had no more reviews, I continue enjoying my summer. I already wrote another poem about boredom. And I learned how to tune my guitar. I just had to go to this site, http://www.chordbook.com/ to guide me in tuning my guitar and many more.

I also developed an interest in the dictionary. I know words that I never thought of encountering in my entire life.

I also went back to my piano. I use it every night to pump me up and make me feel tired so I can go to sleep. You see, my piano has this cool feature that allows itself to play any beat or rhythm that I want. With that beat, I can sing the songs that I already know. Also, I discovered the piano keys I have to press for me to play the background music in Jeopardy. I can also play it in the guitar so every time I watch Jeopardy, 7pm on Velvet, I play the theme on my guitar.

And now that I stay home again, my brother and I cook our breakfast, and snacks. And since I have no plans for this week, I scheduled a check-up with my dentist yesterday and today at 2pm. The dentist pulled some teeth together this time. And it hurt the most yesterday after I left the dentist. Of course, the first thing that I ate after I left the dentist is ICE CREAM to cheer up my gums from the pain that they experienced. But I didn't go home empty handed that day, I got a souvenir from the dentist. She gave me my very own toothbrush and toothpaste! The problem is that i forgot to get it from her yesterday. And I forgot it again today. I will have to get it from her on the next month we meet.

It was cool 'cause that day, yesterday, was also my bonding time with my brother. We ate at McDonald's. We were there for 1 and 1/4 hours. I only ordered plain sundae without anything and regular fries. My brother ordered Chicken Fillet w/ rice and drinks. Then he ordered sundae with chocolate on it.

That was the second long-bonding time we had. The first was last Saturday, the last day of our review. My brother and I had to come with our mother to Trinoma. That was the meeting place of my mom's high school barkada. My brother and I didn't want to tag along them so we explored Trinoma from the second floor to the fourth floor then we went to the ground floor. It was from 3:30pm to 7pm. But before we had a walk around the mall, we ate burritos and nachos in Taco Bell while I narrated 17Again to him because he hasn't seen it yet. We didn't watch a movie that time because all cinemas were already starting the film. We had to wait till 4pm. We didn't want to sit down and watch a movie to kill 2 and 1/2 hours, so we agreed on taking a tour around the mall! =)

Now you know what happened to me this month. This is the first and last post for this month, April since this is the last day of this month. Tomorrow will be the first day of May. 10 days from now is my brother's 13th birthday! But I don't know yet what to give him!!! (maybe he doesn't need one)...

It's time to answer the questions given yesterday.
My group mates didn't get mad at me. Our head directer was a little disappointed because all of us where almost complete yesterday during practice. Only three didn't attend and I'm one of them.
I didn't have to explain the article. Thank God, our group is done with everything including the prayer service. The teacher probably let me off the hook or she probably forgot about it. So I didn't have to cry. Instead, during the half of the period, during the activity of the next group, I ended laughing really hard mainly because I felt awkward sitting beside a classmate that I have never been seated with and that I am not close with. That's part of the activity so it was unavoidable.
The play didn't go well. We skipped many of scenes because the group directors wanted the play to be finished before the bell rings or else it will be cut and left unfinished. I thought that if the play is cut, it couldn't continue anymore. I was wrong; the teacher gave us ten minutes extension next meeting. In the ten-minute extension, we should be able to finish the play. Our group planned to do scenes that we practiced and the last two chapter scenes which are romantic. My friend was close to crying but instead, for the very first time, she said bad words.
I wasn't able to narrate properly. They gave me an extra job. They told me to continue their lines if ever they forget theirs. It was obvious that their lines were forgotten since I was saying their lines. We stopped continuing their lines because it was a disaster. And no, I didn't jumbled the words I was suppose to say.
Oh yeah! I didn't receive yet my certificates today. I don't know when but I'll get them surely before the last day or even before the exams starts.
Anyway, I killed many of time already. Still have to study for the following:
Quizzes:
  • Geometry
  • English
  • Chemistry

Long Tests:

  • Social Studies
  • Technology and Livelihood Education (T.L.E.)

Speaking of Social Studies, my teacher in that subject calls me to recite even though I was not raising my hand to answer or share about what the topic related to our lessons. It's really weird!

I have to go now! I have to study if I want good grades, you know...

See ya then!

It's The Time of My LIFE!!! - Continuation

Mood: guilty
Currently listening to: The Best Day - Taylor Swift

I almost forgot... last week, Friday, we got the certificates from the quiz bee. Our team were second place in the hands-on part of the quiz bee!!! Our team also grabbed third place in the overall thing. When our names were said in front of the whole High School Department, I attempted to jump up and down again just like last time. But what made me stop was the principal and directress presence who were the once who gave the certificates.

One thing that gave me my attention that time while holding the cheap certificates of our school was my name written in the wrong spelling!!! It spelled - Darryl - which was WRONG!!! so when the better math teacher in the school proctored us (he was the other geometry/trigonometry/algebra/facilitator of the mathletes), I complained (just a little bit). He said he'll take it back and change the spelling of my name. What a dude. He was awesome too! The class had fun with him during the geometry period. I wish he'll be the class' trigo teacher next school year...

I feel guilty because I haven't started anything yet!

Gotta go na!

Bandfest!!!

Mood: happy
Currently listening to:We Rock - Camp Rock

Yesterday was a very rock n' roll night! WE had our bandfest at our school. I went to there with my friend and bestfriend and another friend. I totally had fun with them! There were bands from the school itself and mands outside the school. The best part was when Chicosci played their music! It was awesome! They did medley songs. They sang, other than their songs, That's What You Get, I Kissed A Girl, Hot N' Cold, and Single Ladies. Although I wasn't a fan, I enjoyed because everyone was jumping, screaming, and singing really loud!!! I screamed, too!

There was this not so famous band that also played last night. The band's name was Hansom (I'm not sure of the spelling). The band was compose of three brothers. The lead singer/guitar was a mixture of Nick and Joe Jonas! That's why I had a crush on him that night.

I only ate a barbeque and a jumbo hotdog (Purefoods, of course). The barbeque was made by the faculty of the school. A lot of people bought more barbeque than the siomai they also sold. I only had water. This was the only bandfest where I was able to enjoy and have fun but ate only few since I spent most of the time in the court where the bands and dancers performed (foods and drinks were not allowed in). Everyone did a great job, by the way especially the band that sang Burnin' Up by JB. After that and another song that they sang, my brother and I went home (he went with me then we splitted up). My brother was with his friends from his school. HE also had fun.

So went to the bandfest at 6pm and left at 10pm. That's a long time to have fun for a night!

I had a great night! I slept at 10:30pm and woke at 10:45am awhile ago.

That's all about last night. The next posts will be about thoughts that were supposed to be posted days, weeks, and months ago. This is the only time I have to post them.

It's The Time of My LIFE!!!

Mood: Awesome!!!!!
Currently listening to: Start the Party - Camp Rock
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yaaaaahhhhhooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Yehhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeyyyy!!!!!
I feel so great!!! My team won the third prize in the Math and Science Quiz Bee awhile ago at 12:40pm to 3:10!
At first, my team and I thought that we didn't make it since there was no third year on our team during the difficult round. It turned out that we made enough points to catch up on the third place! I jumped up and down, left and right on stage as our names were called! I was overwhelmed because no one in the team expected anything! Now, we just have to wait for our scores from the hands-on competition which was held in the 28th of January. We will be awarded some time this week.
Yahoooo!!!!! I'm Out! Peace...
I'll add details when I have time. I'm studying for our long test in Religion tomorrow.
See ya then!

What Happened Today

Mood: sleepy
Currently listening to: On The Line - Demi Lovato ft. Jonas Brothers

Guess What? I already have the songs from Demi Lovato’s album Don’t Forget. I got the songs from the CD of my brother’s friend.

Anyway, my first two sentences are the reasons why I am posting now here in my blog.

When I got home from school, I watched television and ate my merienda. After that, I still watched TV until 6pm. Then I turned on the computer. My main reason was to post first here in my blog because everything that happened awhile at school. But what I did was to play the songs from Demi’s album. At first, I was disappointed because I could not play the songs here in my user because I just copied the songs from the CD itself but I already played the songs in the other user because that’s the user that was logged on when my brother and I tried to hear what’s in Demi’s album. In short, yesterday, I already heard these songs. I just wanted to here them again when I got home. I finally figured how to play it. I just had to drag the songs from the previous user to the folder then Add the folder to the Library in iTunes. When I finally played it successfully in my user, I edited my playlist, added the all the songs from the album, and synced them all in my iPod. Currently, my iPod shuffle contains 150 songs. So far, my favorite songs from her album are: La La Land, Get Back, Train Wreck, Party, On The Line, The Middle, Gonna Get Caught, Two Worlds Collide, and Don’t Forget. All in all there are 11 songs in her album. Before I started writing this post, I first searched for their lyrics in the net since I only got the songs not the Album itself that has their lyrics included when you buy the original CD.

About what happened this morning, it was totally fun! Here’s the schedule of what happened then:

  • Homeroom Period – our seating arrangement was once again changed. I now sit at by window, on the last line. My new seatmate of the school year was my seatmate when I was in the first and second year high. I was glad to be her seatmate after a long time because for the previous year when she was my seatmate, I had high grades. She is an awesome seatmate! That’s why I always comment her on that when we have to give whatever letters to our classmates such as recoletters and etc.
  • Chemistry Period – we almost did noting except complete our requirements. I have completed mine so there was nothing to do then during the period.
  • Soc. Sci. Period – we already discussed the introduction to our first lesson this fourth quarter. We had an assignment before and I was able to pass my notebook with my answers inside it of course. Then a few minutes before the bell rings, our teacher gave his period for us to prepare for our play in Merchant of Venice after recess.
  • English period (three periods coverage) – the first period was a little bit cool since I was in the part of the last act and scene of the play. I memorized my lines last night so there was no worries for me. The second period was still cool because our group thought that we would never make because our teacher said that she only borrowed one period from one subject only. Turned out that she borrowed five to ten minutes of the third period before lunch and as time goes by, she borrowed the whole period. In short, our section was able to finish the play this day after recess until before lunch. After the play, we had picture taking per Act number. Then after that we had some wacky pictures of whoever was left in the room where we performed. While we took some pictures of ourselves, the background music was playing Lovebug first, then Burnin’ Up. Then we all went down stairs to our classroom, changed our clothes, and took our lunch. For me it was the best play production experience in my life. It was the best performance I ever did in terms of speakingin front of the class and memorizing my lines. Like I said before, I would do better if the script was in English but if it was in any other language; I would probably mess up like what I did with my Talumpati in Filipino.
  • Filipinio Period – we had nothing to do except complete our requirements. For some, it was breathtaking since they still have to recite their speeches (talumpati). For me, it was also rest time since what I only did that period was to complete a table where we have to place the title, aim and the score that we got from our formal and informal themes. And speaking about speech in tagalong, I asked my teacher if I got the lowest score, and I guess that I am a little bit of a psychic since I guessed right. It’s sad but it’s also reality that I have to face since I wasn’t prepared when I had my turn to recite my speech in front of the class. Now, I’m just hiding my feelings about being nervous of what my grade would be in my report card. I pretended to be calm but deep inside I am disappointed to myself…
  • Advanced Algebra – All of that worries about my grade in Filipino worn off when we had activities in the period. It wasn’t even half boring. Everybody had fun!
  • Religion – we didn’t do much. We just had our daily prayer of the Gospel of the Day then went up to a room where we watched the first parts of the movie, Freedom Writers. It was very mysterious at the beginning that makes you want to know what happened next.
  • Dismissal – I went home early and on time. From Tuesday to Thursday, I went home late because of our play practices. Now that the play is over for section, all of us went home safe early. =)

Well that’s what happened today.

I just want to remind myself to write about what I feel about my first teacher as child and as a daughter.

I just want also to clarify that I don’t wear a mask when I am with my best friends and friends. I ‘m just afraid that people, who already know me, might judge me for what I think and do. Don’t get me wrong; I like people criticizing me. I just started my friendship to them being someone who is humble and average. Maybe, if ever they would figure this new web address of my blog, I would change it to: afraidtobejudged.blogspot.com. Now, I’m prepared and I don’t have to think about the next name I’ll give my address.

That’s all! Peace!

It's Joyful and Depressing at The Same Time

Wednesday...

We had no classes because of the PAASCU. I was all alone at home. I watched television from morning till 12pm. Then I ate lunch. After that I turned the computer and played music. I took a bath and got ready for 4pm because I made a deal with a friend that we would go to my brother's school to buy a book in their book fair. Unfortunately, there were two factors that didn't allow us to go in the school. First, the guard said that it is not allowed for visitorse to go in if they are wearing shorts which what I was wearing (it wsn't really a short shorts that is really short, it was just above my knees). So, my friend and I had to go back at home just for me to change. We went back and were pretty sure that this time, we were allowed to go in. Still, the gaurf didn't let us in even though we told him that my friend is a family of one of the teachers in the school. The guard suggested to bring the teacher with us then we could come in. Sadly, the teacher had a meeting that day and time. In short, we weren't able to go in and buy a book... Even though it didn't work for us, I was still happy that day since I received the iPod I was promised about. It is a Pink iPod Shuffle. It is really cute...

Thursday...

Classes resumed. We had shortened period because we had club meetings. Everything went normal except for the schedule. Two things happened that day that I will never ever forget.

First, it was during lunch break. I had my wallet with me when I went to the cafeteria with my best friend until we sat down and eat whatever we chose to eat. After we ate, we went for a dessert. When I was about to reach for my wallet, it seemed that it wasn't in my pocket nor it was in my jacket pocket or on the table. We went looking for it by tracing our steps from the table to the corner where they put the spoons and forks (assuming that I dropped it while we were on our way in getting a spoon and fork. We weren't able to find it... To think that I was really calm at those moment because I knew that my wallet will surely be found since it has my name on it. So I waited until after lunch and until dismissal. There was no wallet found and no announcements about it. I spent my after lunch ours very miserable. At those times, I was already preparing myself to the consequences that I would take when I told my mom about it. I came looking for it during club hours and after club hours. I was still not able to find it. Then dismissal came. I went to the lost and found office twice but the personnel in charge wasn't there. I was disappointed but surprisingly didn't cry. My friends and I were heading to the gate where we were supposed to be picked up individually by our fetchers. I decided to go back in the campus and searched for it. I was with my best friend. There was something happened that made me have more faith in God. We happen to pass by the cafeteria again. Desperately, I talked to the maintenance personnel and asked them about a missing wallet in the cafeteria. At first we misunderstood each other but when I repeated my question if they had found any wallet, they let me and my friend come in the kitchen. They asked for my name, the color of the wallet, and the amount that was present in my wallet to confirm that the wallet they found was mine. Everything I answered had a match and then I found my wallet unexpectedly!!! Thanks to the school's maintenance and to my perseverance to find my wallet before leaving the school, I was able to find my wallet.

Second, it was during the club hours towards dismissal time. Everyone went to their respective venues for their club. I went in my own club: Math. I was first one in then others followed. At that time, I was still looking for my wallet so I went down to the Lost and Found Office the first time to see if it was there. Then I went back to the second floor because club was starting already. The my club's activity was to play board games. So we played for the whole club hours, everyone except me and a new found friend. We are both fans of High School Musical 3 and it just so happened that we were in the same club, in the same venue, in the same time. She was playing Uno with other members. I was watching them play since they had already started the game. She began to sing "Can I Have This Dance" from HSM3 Soundtrack. I guessed she'd watched the movie and already had the soundtrack since she memorized the song lyrics already just like me. I sang with her in the chorus. For awhile, we were shy to show our true colors in singing but when the Uno game was finished, we sang different songs in the HSM3 Album. We had duets and even sang and laughed at the same time. So our voice were really loud enough to let everyone in the club hear us. Since we were the older ones in the club (the fourth year members were in a different venue), we stood up and started dancing and singing "Can I Have This Dance". She even lifted me and circled around since she was heavier than I am. While we were doing the lifting and the waltzing, the fourth years were entering the room!!! I felt a little embarrassed but seeing that my new friend wasn't, I had confidence to continue our musical since there was nothing else to do. We also did "I Just Wanna Be With You" Sharpay and Jimmie version. She was Sharpay, I was Jimmie. I was so funny that we weren't able to perform in a snap. Everyone was looking at us now. Moments before, most were ignoring us. Now that we used the stage, we got their attention. Appluase were given to both of us. Then Dismissal came. Indeed, it was a day to remember...

Friday...

My day wasn't the same since my seatmate had to go home because she is sick. Things were not happy for me since I have no one to chat with. I can still talk to my other seatmeats though, but the teacher would notice it. So I was completely bored. Not to mention that my best friend's section had their outbound that day! I had no one to eat lunch with in the cafeteria. It's a good thing I had lunch with me cooked by my mom that morning before going to school. I spent recess with my half-bestfriend and also lunch... Then when I came home form school, I was excited to open up the computer becuase I wanted to put songs in my first ever iPod! At first I wasn't successful in doing so that went to the point that I gave up. But when my brother came home form the Computer shop to play DoTA, the syncing of songs were a success!!! I guess that my brother was my lucky charm that day. When going to bed, I was attached to it but I knew I had to get it off my ears so I can really go to sleep. I thank God that night for the success of my iPod...

Saturday (Today)...

Today is cleaning day. I fixed my cabinet of stuffs since it was already dusty and unorganized. I had time for a little review for our longtest in religion on Monday. I wasn't able to focuse since I was listening to my iPod. One things for sure taht made my day really bad, the right side of my headphone is not working its purpose. It is broken for now and I am currently using the headset of the computer which is big and I don't think I'm going to bring it upstairs to bed. I have to replace it before anything else. I was frustrated at first becuase it is my first iPod ever and now I have ruined its headphone. How bad is that...

Sunday (Tomorrow)...

Tomorrow, I don't think I am able to replace since we are not going anywhere tomorrow but to the church. So frustrating that I cride a little (it wasn't noticeable).
That's all... So sad but true... I never had been this depressed in my entire life since I don't have a boyfriend yet. The boyfriend that I consider now is my iPod shuffle and it seems that I have to replace a part of him... It's joyful and depressing at the same time...
=( yeah...
