happenings this October :D

hello blogger!! my second post for the month and Pink October is almost over! :)

so what has been happening since i haven't post after my October Wish post?

well..

first week was all about preparation. preparation for our Final Examinations the week after. and it was dark times :))) well dark in a sense that i had to study and regain back my focus self from all that distractions. but distractions weren't gone until after my second october wish happened!! :D and that was to watch one of the Finals game of UST vs ADMU :D and i was with my friend who invited another friends and in the end, i gained another friend :D and then we ate dinner at MOA because it was late at night already and we caught up with other friends along the way before we ate :)

then the Final Exams came and goodness! it was exhausting!!! and super cramming was in session! because we had a free day on a Wednesday on that week and all i did was to watch the second game of the UAAP Men's Basketball game in a large screen from school where all other schoolmates watched and cheered for our team! but infortunately our school only landed second place. but it was all good since we got that far and that was great in itself. i feel sorry though for our graduating players since they weren't able to feel what it was like to be part of the champion team :P  but all in all, they were great! and i guess the opposing team was great since they were able to make it to their 5th straight win! :) happy for them but then i realized i had to go back to studying if i want to pass my final exams. and so the struggle to the finish line continued until it was finally over when after the Saturday exam ended :D

on that Saturday, we had our group's annual sleepover/drinking sessions ;D and it was FUN!!! :D we had a different location this time and it was great since we had snacks to eat and a new friend to join us and the salsa was great! -- which was made by our host friend's mom! and i had to bring home some because it was super delish! and then it was my first time to be fully drunk like hell! i was not in my mind half the time! i was crazying around and some things i can't remember like how i got in the bed :)) and good thing wearing off my contact lens wasn't a hustle at all :D the next morning, i was still dizzy and when i got home, i had a severe case of hangover like i couldn't stay awake and getting through that one-hour mass with the family was impossible that i had to get home asap so i can continue resting and sleeping whcih is what i mainly did on that whole Sunday.

my hangover ran for 2 days straight and i was cured until Tuesday when all that headache, dizziness and heavy head got out already. what happened next was something as bad as the hangover; my stomach got acidic. i was avoiding carbonated drinks and anything sour for three days! that's from Tuesday till Friday! and i didn't want to take the some ascorbic acid for my vitamins because it only meant more acid in my stomach. i was releasing liquidy waste which i will not go further into detail :P then it stopped at last and i begin going back to dipping grilled foods onto some vinegar.

but before i was normal, the family decided to celebrate my parents' 20th anniversary at the SM North EDSA Annex to play bowling on the day itself which was a Wednesday! :) and it was uber fun!!! :) my brother was good since he had it as his PE last sem and my dad was a pro even though he only learned how to bowl just by looking at his officemates play when they had a company outing before when i was a child. my mom was always lofting which was not allowed but no one dared to tell her since it was the only way she knew how to bowl and with that she even made some strikes and spares. and lastly, the only member who doesn't have any clue on how to play bowling was me :)) and it was pressure at the same time fun whenever it was my turn to bowl. i would always get a gutter or if i did get some pins down, many would be left and i only had one strike the whole time were bowling :))

then i was normal again come Saturday. but it was a dreaded one since it was the viewing of the grades! and i was super nervous to know if i had failing marks or not! and my Law 1 subject was the one that i was having doubts with because i knew i wasn't at my best every time we had quizzes and during the exams as well. so i was completely nervous to the point of being negative about it and tweeting stuff like how can i tell my parents that i failed Law and how my life would be having studying the same subject again next semester. then when i finally accessed to my grades -- which was not as easy as you think since it was online and there was traffic with the server not functioning well --  i was fully relieved!!! i had not failing marks!!! :D and i thanked Lord for that and my computer teacher who gave me a 1.25. i follow him on twitter and he follows me back so we're kinda friends :D and he told me that i was one of the highest on the written exams and i thanked him for being a good teacher and he said that i was just flattering him which was half true and half false :)) and it was fun to tweet with him :) i tell myself that if i meet him again along the halls of our building in school or on the roads of the school itself, i'll totally greet him! :D

and i shouldn't miss out on mentioning this. it is not on my October Wish but it is part of my Gamer Wish. and that is to play and finish the Pokemon Black and White 2 this semester break as quickly as possible!! and my brother and i only took about 5 days to defeat the game and there were no distractions, two more days for the post-game stuff to do like catching legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Kyurem. and playing pokemon was my stress-reliever since i was stressing out on what if i failed even one subject. so my attention got diverted somehow and it was effective :D and we defeated the game last October 22 which was the day after i hanged out with the adults.

i was invited by my mom to jog in the morning with her high school friends who are her friends till forever. and so i said yes because i had nothing to do really and i just finished reading Perks which i will discuss later and i just saw my no-failure-marks grades and i wanted to celebrate it! so i woke up early and took a bath and took a taxi to Quezon Memorial Circle where we will be jogging with my mom's friends. then when we saw them finally, they finished already and i can't say we were too late because looking fro them in the circle, what part of the circle they were chilling out was hard to know where so my mom and i looked for them the whole hour so it was like jogging but just walking with my mom exploring the circle. then when we met up with them, we just ate our breakfast, talked about their trip to Palawan on October 30 until November 4 and how my mom can't come and how i should take her place since i look like her and i am pretty much close now to her friends. but after that, i decided to invite my mom's friend's daughter to come with and see the inside of the museum. then we went in and looked at all the stuff there is about Manuel Quezon, our first President of the Commonwealth. then after we knew about him, we went out back to the our meeting place with the adults -- our moms -- and we saw her siblings who came along and now adults were on site. according to her sibling, the adults went and ate "lugaw" and left them there. and it was about to rain then so while waiting under the shades of a cottage-like structure, i took the opportunity to read but no luck because the adults showed up and got us in their cars and my mom and i got in as well and we went to SM North EDSA with her 2 friends :)) then we were checking out on cameras, celphone deals and sim cards and phone networks and other gadgets like tablets, chargers, laptop cases.

until we decided to watch a local movie called This Guy's In Love With You Mare -- a gay who tries to wreck a relationship between his ex-boyfriend and the guy's current girlfriend so the guy can go back to the gay. the gay's plan was funny!!! :)) super! the gay pretended to be a guy who will pursue the girl then make her fall for the gay; and if this is successful, the girl will eventually break up with the guy and the gay can have the guy again. but turns out, the guy really loves the girl. and even if the girl was really mad about finding out the truth that the one pursuing her is gay and her boyfriend had a relationship with the gay, the guy never stopped going after the girl. the gay realized that the girl was nice and that he'll give up on the guy since the guy really loves the girl. in the end, the girl and the guy gets married and the gay who thought has found his love found out that that guy who he thought was the one for him is a priest. so it was super funny and i watched that movie with the adults :D

then going back, because of that relief feeling after playing Pokemon, i was able to finish reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower :) which was a dream come true for the my first October Wish :) and it was a good book to read. all you have to do is to be open about every issue a teen would have in his teenage life because that's what the book is all about: teenage issues. then with that, i started reading The Catching Fire; second book of Hunger Games series. if there weren't any distractions that week, i would have finished it in three days :P but of course, it was semester break so i had other things to do and places to go to :)

so i finished the book, yep in three days. but not straight three because i started the book on a Monday then Tuesday then on that Wednesday was our college's clearance day so i wasn't able to read since i had to go to school and i helped out buying materials for our college week this coming semester and i went to stay in my friend's apartment after and it was all fun! :)

then the next day was our college's enrollment day and i got to school so early that there wasn't a line yet and i had to wait for my other friends to finish their enrollment so we can have lunch that early in the morning and hang out and meet up with other friends in our building. then i went home early since it was raining at school and the wind was strong like another storm will come so we decided to leave early and some friends stayed to wait for our other friends to finish their enrollment. so i bought some lunch again and i was home alone. i have not the energy to read since the tv was on because Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 was showing on HBO and i couldn't possibly miss it even though i have watched it already with my brother. so i just tweeted while watching and quoting lines from the movie that i liked. then i got a message from my best friend to call her up. so i did. since i was alone at home, it was better for me to talk to someone than just watch the tv.

when i called her on the phone like we usually do as part of our awesome friendship, we talked about our lives in our first semester and how we were around people. and how we were with our crushes. and how were both home alone that's why she asked me to call her up. and how we were both hungry and looking for food in our own houses. and how we would be for dinner since we have no one yet with us when it was already evening. and how we missed the Jonas Brothers Concert which was a big thing for us since we are fans and the band played a big part of our friendship. and how we were teasing each other about our crushes. and how i told her about the issues that this particular college friend of mine has. and how she thought somehow mocking him was funny. and how she would definitely fit in in my college group of friends when she gets to meet them. then we hang up when my dad came home finally because i was too scared to be alone then because it was finally dark outside and i was alone at home. and if it weren't for the phone call with my best friend, i would totally be super scared then.

so the next day Friday, was i thought was about rebuilding the house since it was a holiday for the end of Ramadan and we were promised that someone that our laundry lady knows will be volunteering for the rebuilding of the walls of the house. but then he didn't show up as agreed so my dad who wanted it so much decided that we should totally go bowling again!! :)) and it was fun i tell you! because this time my dad told me and showed me how to knock those pins dead and all i had to do was listen to him and do as he says. so i did and voila! i got a handful of spares!!! and a strike! how can that possibly happen when i did only what i was told to do? then i remembered how my dad was to learn by just watching his colleagues play and how he was a pro for me as well and how obeying and believing in what he says i should do will give me some of those spares and a strike. and true enough, even though he was somehow limping since his leg or knee was tired from the last time's bowling, he was still able to get 100 plus points and that only made me want to idolize him in bowling. so wasn't able to read on this Friday as well.

then the fun never ended with eating and other activities! on that day Friday when we had our second time around bowling, we never stopped eating while waiting for our reservation at 5pm in Bowling. it was nonstop! we had lunch at Bario Fiesta, merienda at Army Navy and snacks with Brownies! and we bowled until like 10pm and we still ate ''dinner" at Jollibee with spaghetti for my mom, my dad had a cheese burger and my brother and i had crispy chicken wings with fries which was new for the fast food. then we head home. i wore off my contacts asap so i can sleep already because i was tired like the rest of the family was. then Saturday came and it was the day when i finally finished reading the Catching Fire!! :D

so yeah. that Saturday was dedicated to finishing Catching Fire and i finally did! and i was super happy because that meant continuing with Mockingjay! i was expecting to start reading it the Sunday then but my mom wanted us to go jogging again at the Memorial Circle so we did and this time with my brother. so we went and we were earlier than last time so while my brother and I joined the jog with the others who were already jogging around the circle, my mom decided to stay at the Flower Garden to join in the aerobics people with their crazy mix of pop songs as their background music. my brother and i jogged for the first round then walked then jogged then walked until i went to the washroom. he continues with jogging and i agreed meeting up where my mom was dancing with the crowd. then we met up, we walked then jogged and walked again until we went for breakfast in the bazaar. i ate barbecue with rice, my brother ate "lugaw" and my mom ate "lumpian shanghai". then we went to buy buko juice and hotdog. then we bought a neat shuttlecock so we can play badminton! and we did! and it was fun because the last time we remembered playing badminton was about last 7 years ago but i am exaggerating. maybe just 5 years ago, not sure though. anyway, then we went on for 30 mins then we jogged again. then after jogging fro two rounds, my brother 4, we cleaned up and checked out the museum. then after that, we took a cab, stopped by the church, then head home for good but got some groceries along the way. then we were beat. we took a nap then watched tv. i tweeted. waited for the lady who manicures and pedicures the family then watched a little more tv before finally going to bed to rest my body.

that leads us to this morning. woke up at around 9:15am and tweeted stuff. tweeted about how annoying my cousin is, copying my every move, my every tweet, my every crush. she's been following me since we were young. wherever i went she tails around. whenever i do things, she does them as well. whenever i eat something, she wants one as well. whatever i wear, she's gotta have the same thing too. so now, that we follow each other on twitter, i see how she tries to copy me. she even followed my crush as well. this i don't get since my crush is a university basketball player and you'll know him if you watch the games on tv and if you don't have cable i don't think you know him. i just feel like.. does she want him as her crush as well because of what she sees on my tweets that i am crushing about him and i am very vocal about it? goodness. it's ok if i knew that she was watching as well, that she also knows about the games, that she tweets about them as well like me. but that's not the case. worse comes to worst, she;s gonna retweet stuff that he retweets and i am super gonna question her about that when she does. because i think she just wants us to have a common crush but i don't want how she wants it to be. it's not natural like that. i think she should just be original on her own and stop copying me already because we aren't kids now. as you can see, i like to be as unique and original as possible and i don't like it when someone copies me especially without my permission. i guess maybe, i don't like the idea that she's into the same things as i am because we are from different parts of the world. and having been interested in the same things is questionable. and if she's using me as her idol to look cool and all, thanks but i rather not have some idolize me and copy me because i like to be original and if you copy me it's like plagiarism and if you look at my facebook posts, you'll see how i super dislike plagiarism.

wow! i guess it was a good move not telling anyone i know except for my best friend about my blog. this is the place for me to rant, to share anything i can't share on facebook because my relatives and parents are my friends there and to share anything i can't on twitter when i want to say something about those people who i follow and follow me back like my cousin who loves to copy me. so i feel relieved again that this has been shared to anyone who are not my friends on facebook and who are not following me on twitter. at least you guys are people who just like to read stuff about me and i guess in that way i kind of talked to a person who just sits there in front of their monitor or screens, listening to my rants and my feelings and my experiences :D so thanks to those who keep on viewing my blog even though i don't get any feedback except for the stats that i see about how many people visit my blog and what countries most of them come from and what they read on my posts :)

so that's for the whole month of October!!! it's almost November and i have to say, my dad did not allow me to go by myself with the adults who are my mom's high school friends to Palawan. so my only activity before resuming of classes this coming November 5 will be reading and hopefully finishing Mockingjay and still continue tweeting and probably watch some movies if ever i get a chance to get my hands on my dad's external hard disk where my movies were transferred to so my laptop will be free from those heavy loaded movies :) that is all for the month! see you on November with it's yellow theme!! adios! till then!! :D

What My Name Says About Me

this app in facebook just scared the hell out of me because it was too accurate :DD

it's because it is true. i do sometimes or most of the times because i have to say, i kind of or really sometimes judge a book by its cover. it's because it is inevitable. i notice even the smallest details that i can't possibly just bottle up all those tiny details or else i might explode! hehe. just kidding. i won't explode. i'm not even half fat.

about the second sentence, i do need to do that. because most of the times or maybe a couple of times, i suffer because at those times, i don't even think about my own feelings. because sometimes, i'm too nice which is bad. because of this, there are times when i give the last one i have and end up with nothing.

and the last sentence is super true! i have been facing so many challenges. i am currently challenged to regret nothing and just be happy with what i have now. i guess i feel bitter about one thing. that one thing is something that i always thought that i have moved on from. it's about being admitted at the country's state university.

you see, since i am the eldest, just like the science experiments, i am the experimental variable that is to be tested to see if a theory is correct. this means that if they believe in this, and wonder if it applies to this, i am the one who gets experimented with. (you get it, right. i don't have to elaborate on this) anyway, so since that is always the case, sometimes, it is a good thing that i was first to try so i will be the FIRST to experience it. but most of the times, it is a bad thing because as we all know, when we do trial and error method, there is a very high probability that we will get a wrong answer. that is me. whenever my parents experience something new, because of the advancement that is occurring in our generation, they try whatever it is that they think is the right way on me. which sucks. because most of the times, they get the negative results from me and so to avoid the same mistake, they already know what to do and my younger brother gets the positive results. thing is, there is a review center that can help you to pass the state university's entrance exam. so, since my parents are like: that's too expensive for a review center and the review center itself is far from home and you are a girl. even if you passed, you can't go anyway because it is too far and we can't let you live in a dorm. that's what they said.

and so, in short, i didn't even try to give effort into passing the entrance exam of the state university. because i knew of these things that my parents had to say and i was discouraged... NOT! i didn't have hope anyway. in the first place, i reviewed for entrance exams in my high school itself. and they lack in the topics that have to be reviewed for the exam. and the environment was so lax! didn't have motivation. in the review center, they had quizzes once every meeting. no wonder! tsk. so i am bitter. only when the subject comes up the surface. and i am not afraid to tell my parents face to face that i do regret not being able to pass the state university's entrance exam. because i told them that my friends from high school are offering me to be part of a bundle that has a lower fee but at the same time has the right things to teach for entrance exams. but they refused. told me that it was expensive and the review is far. but remembered clearly that i told them that i was going to the center with a friend who lives nearby. so, i was and still am and will be the trial child :(( as long as i'm still studying and there are still upcoming advancements, i will always be the trial child.

and the sad part is that i am still happy about the fact that my brother was able to pass the state university's entrance exam. i pretend that i am ok and not jealous at my brother. yeah sure. why shouldn't i be happy? i was the one who brought him to the review center and had to wait there for 5 hours until his review is done for the day. why wait for that long? well, i am not familiar with the place, so i don't know how to go about it. but it doesn't matter because he passed! :D and all my waiting was worth it. since i am bitter about that, all i can be happy about is that i am having fun right now in the university that i am going to because of my awesome best friends. another thing that i can be happy about and forget about that bitterness is that my brother just passed that freaking entrance exam! hayzzz... i want to feel what he feels right now because whether i like it or not he has a lot of bragging rights with him right now. he just passed freaking state university where all the graduates don't have to apply for job because those job will have to fight for you.

now, aside from no having an edge since i am not studying in the state university, i still have to put a lot of effort so jobs will fight for me as well. about that, i think my chances of experiencing that is lessened since i will be taking the retention exam this summer. that's right. i screwed up the first semester but i passed; i just wasn't able to reach the minimum grade to have to not take the retention exam. so, yeah.

because of all of this,  i am working my butt off! ........ NOT REALLY! well, at least not always. but whenever there is something to be done for school, i always feel like giving it more than my all.  and since the tuition fee is more than twice of the state university's, i am obliged to show my parents that i am worth it. that is what i have to put up with since i didn't pass the state university's entrance exam. i have to prove myself. i have to be positive. i have to reach a goal that is SUPER DUPER HIGH! almost impossible to reach is what i say. but there is a probability to reach if i give super duper extra effort.

talk about myself! i guess i am an expert when it comes to myself. i mean, if there is anyone who knows me the best, it's only me and God. even, God knows me more than i know myself. so He knows what i am capable of. and He won't give me any challenge that i can't surpass with flying colors. that is why, i am not losing hope. even when i knew i wasn't going to study in the state university, i had the last drop of hope in me. there was little hope but i still had hope. and i guess part of me was to be blamed. i guess since i had little hope, i didn't give it my all... or did i. all i know is that i answered the exam with everything that i know. so, perhaps, what i know wasn't enough. i still have to learn. that is why i keep an open mind. if i don't, there is no room for improvement and i will not become a better person.

so that's me. feeling bitter here and then when the topic is surfaced. but truthfully, feeling happy and proud of the fact that my brother made it. and i guess that this is all God's plan and indeed, i am learning from the mistake of not having that much hope. also, since God can see that i am giving my effort now, He gave me awesome friends who help me forget about transferring schools or forget about being bitter of that experience.

i am now feeling much better. well, better since the topic is going to be surfaced for the week since my brother passed and the results just came in yesterday.  so if ever the bitterness starts to show up, i'll just have to think about the awesome things that i have with my college best friends especially the things that happened starting about 6 and a half hours ago and ended 2 hours later that time.

we stayed for 2 hours in our friend's apartment to celebrate the end of preliminary exams for the semester. we had milk tea from Moon Leaf and there wintermelon with pudding is good. music played in my friend's room and we were singing and dancing and laughing about past experiences which are of course funny to imitate :))) especially the one that i did in the library. that is another story but really, i love my friends. they make my day :D

and oh yeah! i told three of them about this blog's site and maybe they'll read this so, HI FRIENDS! :D

and that is what my name says about me. A LOT! it says so much that it was too accurate. and because it was accurate and precise as well, i was able to reflect about myself and come to accept that this is me and somehow i guess i have to change my down sides and strengthen my up sides, learn from my mistakes and rejoice from the right things i do, and avoid to revenge and regret and remember to always forgive and forget like i always do :D

i'm out! PEACE! :D CONGRATZ TO MY BROTHERHOOD! :DDDD

my best friends :D

wow! wait. i just copied the link of my previous post about feeling down because of some irritating and jealous feelings. this post will be like a follow up on that.

this is the link: i-am-down-down-down-down-down that is the title of the post that i had. it is best to read it before continuing with this new post that i am going to make.

it starts with this.
a month after my 18th birthday...

ME: this is so irritating blah blah blah ... because i don't want to be part of this blah blah blah ... how come it never happens to  me blah blah blah ... every single year, they do this to a friend and not thinking of doing it to me blah blah blah ...

i never wanted any gifts and just one special gift is fine but i never got both, the simple special gift and the 'any' gifts from my friends in elementary or in high school. i was jealous of other friends who end up with either or both of the simple special gift and 'any' gifts from friends.

you see, before, i always think that "hey! i want to be part of this because she is my friend too and i think that it would be really nice to be part of something simple yet special gift from all of us who are her friends." i myself did think of doing something special for a friend but it ends up that they thought and acted on it before i did. so, i just went on with their plans of surprising a friend on her birthday.

but then, a month after my 18th birthday, i realized that "hey! it has been 18 years and throughout those years, i have been part of something big for a friend but i was never the one who is "for a friend". how come i am always one of those who is "part of something big"?" -- i just read this paragraph and i think it's a bit complicated but i guess you readers can go back and analyze what i'm trying to say :D

so i was irritated of the thought i am once again part of something big but not the one who is for a friend. i just turned 18. i thought deep and started to realize many things already. i was in the process of thinking my life through ever since i gained consciousness and knowledge about the world.

it has been quite some time that passed. i celebrated my 18 and half year with my college friends. i treated them with Shakey's party pack -- something like that. it had two 8-slice pizzas, two pastas, and ten pieces of fried chicken in a bucket that came with a number of mojos enough for every one int he group (we are originally nine in the group but three friends weren't able to make it so we were six). we had drinks like cola and a liquor (or was it tequila in particular? i forget). it was fun! we played cards. i got little tipsy and dizzy. i peed in sweat pants that i was wearing. every one was confessing about things that we were guilty about. there were secrets and hidden feelings that let out. and of course, we had a sleepover in our friend's house near our school. overall, it was an experience to remember in my whole 18 years of existence.

but you see, when we celebrated, it was also for our first-semester-has-ended party. it was last October 8, friday? wait, i'll check the calendar... oops! it was last October 7, Friday. a week from my real 18 and a half birthday. i was planning to celebrate it with my best friend but it was still a day of her exams so, it was cool. she made up by calling me on over the phone the day after her last day in school for the semester. and that was last October 18, Tuesday, the day after my parents' 19th wedding anniversary. we talked on the phone about stuff that best friends talk about. it was our bonding day on the phone. but even if it was just on the phone it was awesome since i was talking to my best friend and we were having fun! :D and i couldn't forget, she was the first one person to greet me a Happy Brithday on my 18th. she texted me at midnight and it was my first text and birthday greeting of the day! :)

and because of that, i wanted to visit her in her school but failed and i wanted to be her first greeter for her birthday but failed again. failed on so many things but i did something that was a success. i made her cry on her birthday bash! :)) i think that i was the only one who was able to do that and i guess that it was something special that i did for her  :PPP

now, with all that in mind and with all those that i experienced, i forgot about the irritating and jealous feelings and thoughts that i had. i was totally over them. i moved on.

and then came this class Christmas party last December 16, Friday morning. i was shocked! surprise even! full of joy! i thought that it was super inappropriate to cry so i didn't even think about doing it and it never crossed my mind because what happened that morning was only in my dreams. it wasn't as grand as i thought it in my dreams. but it was a something to remember. it was a first in my life. and yes. i am this happy that i am blogging about it. it may sound shallow but that is just the way i am.shallow which is the reason why my best friend's text was already a big thing of present for me and why the mere presence of my little cousin was enough to make my birthday happy. the same reason why i never got one of those simple special or 'any' gifts from friends. because i was shallow and i wouldn't want attention because of my birthday.

but you see, some people understand. they understand that i was shallow and even the simplest of things can please or sadden me.

so you're asking now, why? what happened? why is this Deejey saying these things?

well... they, my college best friends (best friends means not all of the 8 of my friends that are part of my group of closest friends in college), thought of doing the thing that i was jealous and irritated about when i was on the other side of the fence.

they gave me a simple special gift that they funded all together. they freaking surprised me during the class' Christmas party. they sang Happy Birthday for me and then of course gave me my present! the present was simple yet special. it was  a new deck of cards! they know that i play cards and i even play cards with them during our free times. it was simple because it was just a deck of cards. but what made it special was that they thought of it and they thought of me and the cards weren't the ordinary kind. it had a different color. instead of the background being white, it ahd black instead. and it was indeed special because before, my college best friends talked about cards that had different colors other than white background. we talked about how it was more expensive than the famous casino card deck sold in the grocery cashiers. it was unforgettable! i never thought that what we were talking about was the thing that i will be getting as my 18th-birthday present! it was the only tangible present that i got from friends.

when they gave their gift to me, i thought "my high school friends didn't even think of doing something like this for me for my 18th birthday." at least my best friend did something. but my other friends in highschool? well they greeted me alright. via SMS and facebook. well, those are might as well birthday gifts, right? but i felt more loved because of what my college best friends did. i mean, i felt the love from my best friend, i always do. she always gets to tolerate my annoying and irritating characteristics. and i always appreciate her especially when she understands all the time even though i am sometimes unreasonable. i feel her love most especially when she forgives me in times when i do silly and stupid things to her. So, i don't expect anything from her because she does things to me that i don't think anyone can do; and that is to stick with me as her best friend even though i cancel out on the times when we are suppose to see each other or even though i don't visit her house or her school.

what was touching with my best friedn is she never misses out on putting in her Christmas message the lines: i miss you or i love you. that's amazing, right?

the thing is, before, i only felt the love of my best friend, but now, i have felt love from more people; and they are my college best friends.

all in all, i am SURPRISED!!! :D surprised for what my best friends can do for me, may it be my best friend or my college best friends. and i am happy and proud to call them all my best friends. :DDD

heeyy!! :D

i just had my first Zara purchase. it could be my last since we never shop there. i was only able to buy there because my college best friends were helping get dressed up  for our class' Christmas Party next Friday.

i bought a small-sized grey long sleeves which costs P995. and i'd like to buy the shorts that did fit me while i was trying to put on the shirt but that pair of shorts just costs a lot more than the shirt which is P1799. can you imagine that! the shorts costs more than the shirt. bleh. anyway, i have my own pair of shorts that kind of has the same length as the one i tried to put on. i just need to show it to my friends if it will do or not. if it won't do, then i can still buy one but not in Zara;  maybe i'll buy in a nearby  tyangge where things are sold cheaper than they are in stores like Zara. all that is left is the footwear. i also need my sneakers to be shown to my friends if it  matches with my shirt and my shorts.

but there is one thing that is bugging me. some day  next week, i should hit the mall again to buy Ferrero Rocher worth exactly or more than P200 as an exchange gift for the person that i picked.  so, i wonder when will that be.

i would also like to share that i there is a certain pattern in the way i watched the Twilight saga. i only watched the odd number books and never had the energy to watch the even number books.  (well, i did attempt to watch the last one but i wanted to watch it with my best friend and i don't think we have the time for it.)

now, i'm just glad that i studied, for our quiz on Friday, yesterday because i just got home an hour ago and i don't feel like studying in this span of time. that's why i checked by facebook account and instead of posting there about my first experience with Zara, i just went here and talk about it without people (some people in particular) won't find about this and tell me not to post about such things. i learned my lesson. didn't want the same mistake to happen again.  i was told that i post too personal things in facebook so i didn't post any new status ever since the last time i was scolded. i think i am being bitter about being scolded so this is kind of a rebellion (but not really. if this is considered as rebellion then in the scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the most rebellious,  then i would rate this with 0.1 because this is a very shallow rebellion).

i'm just glad i have this blog kept away from people who know me. my best friend is the only who knows about this blog's site so she is the only one i know who knows this site's blog; anyone else from other countries who view this blog is someone that i don't really know.

i'm really tired from all the walking that we did just to help our friend find the top that will fit him. we did however manage to find one for him but all in all, our journey for the search of the top that will suit him was long and tiring. and now i am TIRED! so i will be sleeping after viewing 3 notifications that i have in facebook as i write here in blogger.

by the way, we had our recollection this morning and the letter from God the Father to me that was based on the Bible was very touching and that presentation got my attention and it was most significant to me. also, we learned a new song about every cell in my body is happy and every cell is well. it had an action with it and everything about the song was funny but reflective at the same time. it will be the song that my friends and i will be singing in our class' spoof of american idol. so, good luck to us.

it's time for me to sleep. good night to the cyberspace and the people who are reading this at night :D

scary! :(

something that i noticed about myself...

i reflect before, during, and after i do something happy or sad, big or small, good or bad. and i see something that is happening to me.

i tend to be better at the English language when i'm feeling all negative. it's like a reflex or an involuntary reaction when i am really mad, or feeling bad. it's inevitable. i can't control it.

i don't know if that's good. but i'm sure that it does me better in writing in the English language. it doesn't affect on how fluent i speak in the English language since i am better at writing down my inner thoughts and feelings than saying them out loud.

anyway, that's a discovery that i saw just now. i wish i saw it before so i had confidence in writing.

that's it for now. i'm in a bad mood tonight. PEACE! :|

i feel a heart attack coming!!!

AAAAHHHH!!!! being a Physics leader is SUCKS!!! like everything is your freaking responsibility!

let me explain.

the group report sheets were given back last friday tot he group leaders. but then, i only got two sheets back and neither of the two are our group's data sheets. and what's worse is that tomorrow is the freaking submission day. and i won't be able to submit our report because i have nothing to revise.

I DIDN'T GET THE GROUP'S DATA SHEET BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now what?

i am the worst leader in the school. i wish that i wasn't an Outstanding Student of the fourth quarter, last school year.

what really kills me is that not only am i freaking out about not passing the data sheets on time but i am also freaking out about tomorrow's interschool competition that i will be participating in.

first of all, i have to admit the fact that i only answered like a hundreth of all the review materials that were given to us, Mathletes.

second, i don't have enough knowledge and logic to answer the questions in the competition.

third, i am a total mess. i ahve many things to think about. i won't be able to focus on tomorrow's competition.

AYAYAY! MAMAMIAH! HELP ME!!!

i still have to finish my short story in Filipino which is what i am currently doing.

so, we'll see what's going to happen tomorrow.

August 29 until the WHOLE month of September

Hey!

i reviewed my posts for the last months and realized that i wasn't able to post in the month of September! it is really not cool to miss a month without blogging. so i am making up for that month.

My last post before October was all about Camp Math. Let me continue on what happens on the last saturday of the camp then i'll proceed to the happenings last September 2009.

August 29 - AMAZING RACE DAY AND THE LAST DAY OF CAMP MATH! It was the last session of Camp Math XVI. The session is also known as the Amazing Race! The twelve groups of campers are going to compete against one another to gain the amazing prize of something that we didn't know then. The race started after we all ate lunch. There were of course twelve stations with problems that came along with each station. Some were hard some were not. Some needed some common sense and some were made just to have fun and has nothing to do with math (there was a station wherein we have put on some beach stuff and pose for a picture taking). Some needed strategies to complete (we were suppose to build a strong structure made up of straws) and some were a headache (there was a math problem that made us eat up a lot of our time). Some needed group work (we were tasked to do two jigsaw puzzles and it has to be fast) and some needed support for stations that needed only a member to accomplish (one of the group member has to eat the ampalaya gelatin all by him/herself... yup! AMPALAYA as in BITTER MELON not any other fruits). Some were gross (the ampalaya gelatin!) and some were slippery (when we are asked to run back and forth twice while the floor was wet because of the rain.)

Everything was tiring since the stations were far away from one another and imagine, we did this in Ateneo, a big school in terms of area. we had to run from one end to another and go up and down from bottom to top and vise versa. everyone was worn out and all sweaty (one group mate of mine smelled like puke because he had body odor!!! but i won't mention his name even though IT WAS AN AWFULLY AWFUL SMELL!!!)

We didn't finish first but our group (group 4) won the most stickers which we gained during group activities from the first day till the morning of the last day; before the Amazing Race. our prize was a loot bag of chocolates and a sticker of the logo of Camp Math! :D The prize of the winning team were a notebook from the big stationary of Ateneo and the chocolate loot bag.

When we were viewing the slide show of our pictures taken during the whole camp math experience, i was able to get my group mates' Y!M ID's so i can still keep in touched with them even after Camp Math.

Almost everyone was wearing their own Camp Math T-shirt which was sold for PhP180.00.

That was the end of Camp Math XVI...

and the start of September!

September 9 - CLASSES WERE SUSPENDED! It was also the day when our group in religion reported for the church encyclical assigned for us. and to tell you the truth, it's not a really plan to assign me as the leader when the group is tasked to report (heck, i don't want to be a reporter in the future!) not the point really. i can be a leader in anything but not in religion. teacher/adviser is freaking me out and is scary. religion is not my best subject and i would be really happy if god will allow me to study in the University of the Philippines (just found out then that they don't take/study religion :D) that's all about that day. nothing much has happened.

September 14-25 - GREEK MYTH WEEK! it was the week when the class performs individually or as a group (depending on the characters) for Greek Mythology! and i am blessed to be going solo as Dionysus (Bacchus) [since none of my classmates were Semele (Dionysus' mom) or King Pentheus (Dionysus' cousin)] if i were to perform with other gods or heroes, i would have been on the first batch list to perform. turns out, i was part of the second to the last batch. i was supposed to be Demeter (Ceres) but i didn't want to perform as a girl so i switched with my classmate. i didn't have any regrets because this is what happened when it was my turn on the spot light...

September 17 - IT WAS THE DAY WHEN I IMPERSONATE THE VINE AND WINE GOD, DIONYSUS or in ROMAN, BACCHUS! Since he is the God of vine, i had a headband-like made up of leaves; also, i had some fresh grapes with me which i ate somewhere in the end of my presentation. Wine comes from grapes so it was appropriate to have grapes as props. Of course, one prop will make me a real god of wine so i had a real glass bottle of wine. it was still sealed when i brought to school and still sealed until now, nov. 3. my costume was all black with a purple cloth slanting across my body, hanging from my shoulder and pinned on my waist. my classmates thought that i made a great presentation. my sloppiness was very effective since everybody thought that i was drunk. all i did was laugh when i forgot a word (my script is easy to memorize) and pretend to fall back when i walk. in short, i did well! and i am happy that that's done! :D (and to think that i only memorized my lines for two days)

September 19 - ATENEO COLLEGE ENTRANCE TEST! grabe! it's differently different from UPCAT. this ACET is easier compared to UPCAT and a little harder than USTET. I can say that i did better in this test. but i think i did my best in the USTET last august 23. anyway, taking the exam was not the only thing that i did during that day...

my shedule was in the afternoon from 1pm to 5pm. i was accompanied by my younger brother, and my daddy-o. we found many divisions of lines leading to the rooms where we will be taking the exam. there were many people most particularly students from different schools. Some were intimidating knowing that they are chinese and from a chinese school and in my opinion, a little bit better than us. then i saw this theresian. she isn't my classmate but she is a batchmate. we are in the same division of room but not the same room number. she is from another section in school and to be honest, that was the first time that i'll be talking to her. i have to say. she is really talkative and her mouth never stopped until we part ways, going to our exam rooms. i can't even break in when she was talking to me. it was also hard to understand her probably because of the way she talked. if i talk fast like what my best friend says, this girl talks way faster and all she talks about is school, schoolmates specifically batchmates, teachers, and some tips in taking the ACET. at some point during our conversation while we wait to go in our own rooms, i found her annoying already and i wished she would stop but i can't tell her that because that would be rude. she has an accent which made me understand her less. she is like that but i guess that i am partially thankful that i didn't have to stand in line all quiet without anyone to talk with; just like the others standing steadily being patient because the army-dressed college students were holding us back for a long, long, long, time!!!

(i am very sorry if ever the person, that i am talking about in the paragraph before this, will read this post. please consider this as something that i'll have to tell you eventually when we get to meet and greet in school :D)

then finally we went in our rooms and took the exam. there was another theresian who was in the same exam room as i am. she was quiet so it was cool. because of her, i felt relaxed just like the way she was. :D

our room finished the test at about 6pm to half past 6pm. what made this was the other room's fault. we had to wait until the late comers came before we can start with the test.

that's it for that day for me at least. while i take the ACET, my dear companions did something even fun than what i did that day. my father and my brother went to getway and had some uber fun by eating really scrumptious foods and playing at timezone. they spent at about a thousand pesos at that day while i spent my sweat, blood and chills when i took the test. NOT FAIR!!! :(

next event:

September 21-22 - CLASS RETREAT! it was AWESOME! the place was a garden of eden. very relaxing and revitalizing. i wished that i was living there. There gardens outside and an old "Bahay Kubo".

anyway, in this retreat, the main concern that i would talk about would be the sentiments of friendship. if there were words to describe what happened in this day, then my retreat journal has the right ones.

Significant Experience

Having lots of friends has its many advantages and disadvantages. Like when you have many friends, you won’t have to worry about being alone in the corner because you know that there is someone who will be there to be with you. The disadvantage is that you don’t know who to pair with when given a chance to do so because there are many to choose from. And you know that choosing only one in your group of friends will hurt the others whom you didn’t choose. Anyway, this is where my significant experience starts…

It was tragic that Belay wasn’t my roommate during this last retreat. But I guess things were meant to be like that because I wouldn’t have fun if she were my partner and she would think of being partners with someone else. So she wasn’t my partner and I was the friend who got hurt because she didn’t choose me. It was cool because an angel, Bea Bayani, caught me when I was about to fall. Though my partner and I are not that close, I had fun with her. Because of her, I talked and interacted with other classmates who I am not close with yet. Now, in between class hours when the teacher is not yet around, I get to talk with them and have interesting conversations.

Then there was one thing that I never thought that would happen. Since Bea and I are in a different circle of friends from Belay, it was fate that made Belay and I juxtapose with each other during the whole retreat (except when we were allowed to sit anywhere on our malongs). Speaking of the malongs, the activity which made us sit on our malongs, the night on our first day was very significant especially the part when we were suppose to choose a classmate who is either our best friend in the class, or the person who we ignore when offering help, or the person who we want to get to know more. I was expecting to receive the tag of best friend in the class from Belay but instead she gave me the tag who she ignores when offered help. I felt unfair because I gave the tag as the one who is my best friend in class but at the same time fine because of the written message on the paper. It was very sincere which made me cry. Also about the other friends that I was close with, I never thought that I would receive something from them so I felt that I existed when they tagged me.

Knowing that there are people who I don’t expect to care about me, I thank God for they came and were revealed in my life. If it wasn’t for this retreat, I wouldn’t feel any better from the thought that I was not acknowledged by my supposedly closest friend in class. Also, if it wasn’t for those people who have showed their concern, I would have fallen down and be broken apart.

Insights

  • Friends are always there whenever you need them just like the waters around us. They refuel, replenish rehydrate and quench our thirst. Whenever we are thirsty for happiness, laughter and smiles, we don’t have to look far because friends are always there to quench it. Whenever we need strength to move on and continue to journey life to the fullest, we stand and walk with the refuel that our friends give us. Whenever we are about to fall and lose hope, our friends are there to catch and replenish us with lots and lots of hope. And whenever we are dry, dull, and sleepy because of boredom, they rehydrate us through their funny jokes and keep us awake with their stories of inspirational life experiences. Just like the water, they will keep us alive and kicking, physically and mentally.

  • It is the unexpected things that make one’s life have reason to live just like the creation of fire. These are surprising things that can either make us hurt or happy. Like when you accidentally put up a fire; it hurts you when it burns you but it makes you happy for the light it gives you. Because of the hurt that we feel, we learn to become stronger and tougher. This feeling of added energy makes us think that we can conquer anything that’s why we continue to live. And because of the light that fire gives us, the beauty and kindness of our surroundings are being revealed to us. Seeing the wonderful side of everything motivates us to strive harder in life.

  • Everything can change when you least expect it just like the direction of the wind. Changes, like how hard will the wind blow and the direction it will take, are hard to control. It is as if it has a mind of its own. Sometimes, when it blows too hard, we tend to let go of what we are hanging on so the wind won’t have to give us more bruises due to our resistance to change. This happens when we have no choice and when we don’t like any more troubles. And sometimes, letting go is much easier than holding on.

Response

Since there is much water around us, we shouldn’t take advantage of it and abuse it. We should use only what is enough for us because water is irreplaceable, just like our friends. We may make other friends, but we are not able to have the same kind of friend that we lost; for everyone is different from one another. We should take care of them like the way they take care of us. For the unexpected things, we should get used to it, since we don’t really know what will happen to us. There will be more surprises in the future, some would be big and some would be small. The wind always changes and whatever path it would take, we should keep moving forward. Just accept the changes that are happening and prepare for them always. If not, we better have a good explanation and have much strength to hold on.

there we go. that summarizes what i learned and what had happened during those two days.

not quite!

September 22 - MY PARENT'S 18th ANNIVERSARY! HA! i was not at home because, d'uh! i was in the last half of retreat! and you what i figured out? my parents didn't go to work on that day! that means they had delicious home made foods which i like, lobe and will forever eat! and thinking this thought, made me feel unfair because they have a good time when i am not at home! i'm having a good/bad time in retreat while they are at home having a good time with my younger bro!

who cares! at least i got to read my best friend's retreat letter last which made everything great! :D

oh yeah, i wrote an anniversary letter for them when i was in retreat. by the time i got home, i posted it on the refrigerator. they read it when i was asleep so i had no idea on how they reacted when they read it.

September 24 - PALIHAN COMMUNITY BASED! the batch was divided in different communities for palihan. we visited the assigned place in this date. the community that i am in is the CAMARIN community. houses there were like squatters only cleaner and more orderly since they have their court and there barangay chair. I met kids who were really playful (i never thought that i would hang out with kids since i have once said that i don't like kids--except for my adorable dear cousins :D).

September 28-October 2 - CLASSES WERE SUSPENDED FOR A WEEK! this was because of the typhoon Ondoy or internationally: Ketsana. It was so strong that we didn't have electricity for two days from sept 26-27. all we had at home were candle lights! i didn't know how i'll be doing my homework on time if we didn't have lights at home. on that weekend, i went to the internet cafe with my dad and my bro. visited facebook and had this as my stat:

Daryll Joyce in the internet cafe doing homework because we have no electricity at home and meralco's phone is still busy! we have no dial tone and i was planning to go to a friends house where i can do the many homework that our section has but here i am instead surrounded by noisy DoTA players... :( no offense to my friends who plays DoTA :D
September 27 at 5:07pm

yup! it was also the day when i played DoTA for the first time! and... I DIDN'T LIKE IT! now that we have a copy of that game at home, i ignore it and let my bro play it all by himself...

AND THAT"S ALL FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!

see ya later for more posts...

K! BYE! :D

HELL!!!

there is only one word that can best describe what i am feeling right now. and that would be...

HELL!!!

let me explain myself...

first of all, tomorrow is the submission date of the draft for our religion presentation on tuesday next week.

second of all, am very unfortunate to have responsible-challenged group mates (except for one, that's why she's my friend).

third of all, i am failing religion.

three reasons say it all.

now, let me elaborate...

first, we are given enough time to make a draft of our presentation. this project assignment was given to us last week. we are expected to make even a little for the presentation. since there are many days to accomplish a draft, i took advantage of the time given and distributed the tasks to the members. they all ready know what to do and what to research on.

second, unfortunately i am the leader of our group. not very good for the reason that i get to be very bossy. the thing is they don't have the energy to do what is being asked of them. one member gave me her research but it was just 20% of what she was suppose to research on. she didn't get it, though i appreciate her effort of making a background research. so far, the only thing that makes me smile even a little is her research, though it still lack more. good job for you! at least one member is participating! we are just four in the group the other two... well i don't think they are interested. one doesn't know what to do and the other doesn't want to help.

third, i am failing religion. i failed the quarterly exam by four points away from the passing score. it sucked! my quizzes aren't that high. my reflections are not as perfect as they used to because we are required to make them during classes which so not good because we are only given so little time for so many thoughts and designs that need to be shown and written. and compared to all my reflections for my whole high school life, i got lower points this year for the short time given to us. and now, since no one is wants to work hard in this project that we have, i have a dilemma. since i don't want to screw this one up, i have this bad thinking. what if i just do the whole draft myself? that would be bad because leaders are not allowed to do a group project by themselves, that's why it is called a GROUP PROJECT. it is meant to be done by groups, not just by a student but by the members of the group! but what can i do? i am desperate to pass this subject or else i won't graduate with the way i have planned it. and my groupmates are not that sensitive, aren't they? because if they want to pass as well as i want to, they would do their best in doing this project with me! and the member that i assigned to work with me because i trust her doesn't help me!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW SUCKISH MY LIFE IS??? I BET MY LIFE SUCKS MORE THAN WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE... WE"RE TALKING ABOUT OUR GRADES HERE, PEOPLE!!! BUT NO!!!

I JUST CAN"T WAIT TILL I GET OUT OF THIS HIGH SCHOOL LIFE! YES, IT IS FUN BUT YOU HAVEN"T SEEN THE OTHER SIDE OF FUN YET, HAVEN"T YOU?!? WELL, I HAVE! AND IT IS NOT THAT FUN AT ALL!

i'm sorry for the things i just said about my group. but, to be honest, i am very jealous to the other groups who have members who are giving their efforts in sending their reports to their leaders. one member of our group did it. why can't the OTHER TWO can???

you guys can get mad at me for being bitchy but that's just the way i roll. if you were doing your job well, then i won't have to type what i feel right now.

i'm out...

PEACE!

It Keeps Getting Better and Worse at the same time

Mode: sharing
Currently listening to: Don't Forget - Demi Lovato

Things are getting more and more boring for the past weeks since the review was over. I had nothing productive to do after our review. All that I did for two weeks was sit on the couch and watch television. I didn't even thought of posting here in my blog. How lame is that? And check this. I recall saying that I got used to waking up early because of our review but it only worked for a week because the week after that, I went back to the lazy old me. My plans for studying and reviewing more was scrapped out and up until now I haven't started reading yet my school books that I was suppose to read earlier so I don't have to cram reading them during the school year. Still things keep getting better.

May 1st was Ellen's 1oooth show. I watched it May 5th, its repeat telecast, since we are two episodes behind. I have been watching Ellen ever since the start of May. It airs in 2nd Avenue 8pm. I watch the repeat telecast the next day at 12 noon. It was awesome because they viewed the most hilarious episodes they ever had for the past 999 episodes. There was the guest star whose name I forgot. He was the only guest. There were alot of funny videos that were picked out from youtube, too.

Then came May 10. It was my Brother's 13th Birthday and also was Mother's Day. We had fun celebrating it on both May 9th, Saturday, and the day itself, Sunday. We went to SM North Edsa on May 9, I think and we ate at Barrio Fiesta on Mother's Day (which was also my brother's birthday). It was a double celebration. I have to say. The food there was great but the service was super duper slow. If you ordered at 12 noon flat, for example, your order will be served after 45 minutes but not all your orders are served yet. Even so, I have to admit, their Sizzling Sisig was awesome! I liked it alot even though I had to wait for it for an hour. Can you believe that? I even finished it but not by myself of course. But I ate, like, 3/4 of it. It was delectable!

May 11 was the day when I was suppose to meet my friends at Yellow Cab in Katipunan. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come because there was no way for me to go there, literally. No one in the family wanted to accompany me in goign there. My Dad said that it was too far away. My mom told me that I can still go if I had someone to go there with but I can't think of any. My friends all have their review in Katipunan so it's easy for them to go there. To be honest, I was super sad that I wasn't able to come with because I was expected to be there and I already had a gift wrapped for my friend's sweet sixteen birthday! Now, you see how life is so unfair to me. I felt even mor sad when my friend told me that I was the only blog/group member who wasn't there. It was also the chance for me to my other friend's gift for her 15th birthday since I wasn't able to produce any durting the month of her birthdate, January.

Anyway... There was fun still yet to come that week. The next day was the third long-bonding time for me and my brother. We had our snacks at McDonald's. We talked about stuff, the usua (of course you don't know our usual talks because it's going to be between me and my brother only).

Then 13th May was an ordinary boring day. What's awesome in that day was when it was comfirmed that my mom and dad decided to take the day off the next day, 14th may. It was because someone has to get me enrolled at school or I won't be able to graduate high school. It was funny because the other parent thought that the other was going to do it instead.

The next day was the school's enrollment day, May 14. I wasn't able to come with my mom who decided to enroll all by herself. So my dad stayed at home with me and my brother and had a bonding moment with the his children at home. Things weren't boring that day when mom got home with our school supplies and my books. (NOTE: It has been a tradition that my mom buys my brother's school supplies in my school because his school sucks and lacks school supplies.) My mom had the time to take a half day at work so she went to her office after eating lunch together as one whole family. When she left, dad got lazy and didn't go to his work anymore. He had his nap then. My brother went in the Internet Cafe in the neighborhood to play DoTA. And I didn't just sit there and watch television. Instead someone saved me from boredom that time. Itwas my old buddy and still best friend.

We had a chat about our Electives this coming school year. Her Elective is all about computer. my elective is all about writing. WE talked on the phone. It took us 99 minutes talking which annoyed my father a little since he was taking nap on the couch near the big couch where I sat and talked to my friend. Even though we ALWAYS take different paths in life, our friendship is as strong as the hardest candy there is; no matter how strong your teeth are, they will never break our candy. Only the saliva of death can melt us down together... Anyway... I said those stuff because I am very impressed with our friendship. We've been friends since the 3rd grade, though we've been classmates since 1st grade. It's a long story... but I promise to tell the story about my experience with friendship some other time. BUt now some more updates on what I have been doing for weeks...

After my dad had a nap that day, my brother and I planned to watch Ned's Declassified School Survival after i talked on the phone and my brother came back home the cafe. But my father woke up and he wanted, I guess, to bond with his two children. So we played cards. That was 4pm to 6pm. After two hours of playing cards, I watched American Idol. I have been psyched up on what's going on in that show ever since I watched the top 7. I've been cheering for Allison but she went home already so I went to focus on Danny. But then he went home last week. Now my vote is on Kris. I like him more than Adam, that's for sure.

The next day, May 15, was nothing but a normal day. There's another series that is added on our list of must-watch-shows/series. The series is an anime. It's very interesting, to be honest. It's called Yu Yu Hakusho or as we like to call it here in the Philippines, Ghost Fighter. It started airing last two weeks ago, I think.

Then this Saturday, May 16, came. It's y grandmother's birthday. Though, she didn't tell us her exact age, I willl ask my dad about it. Today is Monday, May18. Last Saturday was the time when I was supposed to get my hair rebonded in the mall but there wasn't anough time to do it so my brother and I went to the internet cafe at the mall and do whatever we want while mom went to buy groceries. I started writing this post at that Saturday but mom finished early so I wasn't able to finish. So instead of stopping it here on what happened last Saturday, I will continue it until what has happened today.

Sunday, May 17, was the moment of truth. I had to decide if I will push through the process of straightening my hair and make look better and look easier to handle for my mom. I agreed for the reasons that I don't have to arguw with my mom, and i wanted it to get over with already. So it happened for six hours. from 2pm to 8pm. IT was a success and I feel and realize that this is the WORST hairdo i ever had!

Now, i must not wet my straight hair. For if I do, I would've wasted my time sitting inside the parlor letting strange people touch and mess up my hair for my mother. I'm just saying that since I went to the process already, at least have to do my job in maintaining it. Or else, my mom would notice that I don't like it then it's likely that she will surely get mad at me. (there are the words likely ad surely... that means it's either of the two and i know that it's wrong grammar...) In short, I took a bath without lettingmy hair get wet. How hard is that. I'm going back to the parlor this coming Saturday. I want to cut my hair short so I can enjoy it a little. That means bathing without lettin gmy hair get wet for one week starting today.

That's not the only thing etraordinary today. Will you believe me when I say that I just reviewed half of Biology today? Well, yes I did. I resisted the television and the computer this time. It helped me save myself from boredom.

So that's about it. i just wantto remind myself about translating something in english which written by me originally in tagalog. IT's pretty awesome. I;m going to tell story about it too. I also want to post about my friend whom, if she were to read my blog, would not want to be friends with me anymore. It's all about the friend who didn't want to tell me her secret until we had a heart-to-heart talk last March. She's having a hard time now and I want to share things in this blog about me and her. It's going to be a little dramatic and emotional since we've been through a lot more than you think. Her, being my classmate last school year helped me know her more. And I think it's about time anyway that you understand her the way I understood her. I am just waiting for her to open things up with me. When she is ready to tell me everything, I'll be sharing a little with you. That is if I remember sharing it to you...

Anyway... things are getting better as time goes by for me and my friends. BUt it gets worse for myself and my hair and the way I handle my time. I'm not really good at self-discipline but I'm trying control myself one step at a time.

So I hope to post about the things I promise to post about. The onlyh problem I have is time. It's too short. and the world is so unfair. We have a computer at home but its internet speed is slow. We can't use my dad's celphone which has high speed because he complains about how high his bill is.

Anyway... I hope things get better for me more than worse...

It Has Been A LONG Time...

Mode: I'm back!
Currently listening to: My Life Would Suck Without You - Kelly Clarkson

I'm only posting now because this is the only time I've got when my hands are tingling to do something like typing.

Here's what happened for the past days and weeks of April...

First Week - Not much had happened except for eating soft diet for my new lower braces. I'm not allowed to eat anything crispy or hard-to-chew foods.

Second Week - It was very challenging 'cause there were two none working days at that week. I had to compete for the remote control.

Third Week - My birthday was a success, though it was simple and we celebrated it at home. It's my 16th birthday so there were many foods. there was homemade sandstorm, baked macaroni, spaghetti, and double dutch cake from Goldilock's. It wasn't very extravagant but there were a lot of foods which I like and love the most! My birthday, April 14, was supposed to be the start of the reviews for entrance exams at school. It was moved to April 15, birthday of my most favorite seatmate ever!

The first day of review was awesome! The teachers were great and very impressive. I just hope the teacher in math who I fear (he's a guy) won't be my teacher in Trigonometry next school year! The teacher in Physics was somehow boring. But, as time goes by, she can pull some jokes! I hope she'll be our class' teacher next year because it has been said that she is better than the other Physics teacher. The English teacher is awesome! There was never a dull moment except when she discusses, which is something she does very briefly. During discussion, she makes a joke. They're really funny!

Then I believe it was a Sunday when my best and I, along with another friends of ours, went to SM Sta. Mesa to watch a movie. And that very fortunate movie would be... "17 Again", starring the one and only, Zac Efron!!! The movie had a sense of humor, lessons to learn, and a lot of Zac Efron!!! It was amazingly awesome, dude!!! You should try watching it if you haven't seen it!

Fourth Week - The last week of review for summer vacation. We still have Saturday Classes for the next school year for us to refresh our minds of what we have already learned in the review. The last day was not really that memorable, so was the second to the last day. Things weren't that exciting anymore and weren't that fun anymore as well. I got bored. The only constant was that I was late from first day to last day! How cool is that?! But I know that I can't do that during regular classes at school...

Fifth Week - In general, I kinda trained myself last Monday, April 27, to wake up as early as 8am. It was because of the 2-week review. I had to wake up at 6am but still managed to be tardy the whole review.

Anyway, since I had no more reviews, I continue enjoying my summer. I already wrote another poem about boredom. And I learned how to tune my guitar. I just had to go to this site, http://www.chordbook.com/ to guide me in tuning my guitar and many more.

I also developed an interest in the dictionary. I know words that I never thought of encountering in my entire life.

I also went back to my piano. I use it every night to pump me up and make me feel tired so I can go to sleep. You see, my piano has this cool feature that allows itself to play any beat or rhythm that I want. With that beat, I can sing the songs that I already know. Also, I discovered the piano keys I have to press for me to play the background music in Jeopardy. I can also play it in the guitar so every time I watch Jeopardy, 7pm on Velvet, I play the theme on my guitar.

And now that I stay home again, my brother and I cook our breakfast, and snacks. And since I have no plans for this week, I scheduled a check-up with my dentist yesterday and today at 2pm. The dentist pulled some teeth together this time. And it hurt the most yesterday after I left the dentist. Of course, the first thing that I ate after I left the dentist is ICE CREAM to cheer up my gums from the pain that they experienced. But I didn't go home empty handed that day, I got a souvenir from the dentist. She gave me my very own toothbrush and toothpaste! The problem is that i forgot to get it from her yesterday. And I forgot it again today. I will have to get it from her on the next month we meet.

It was cool 'cause that day, yesterday, was also my bonding time with my brother. We ate at McDonald's. We were there for 1 and 1/4 hours. I only ordered plain sundae without anything and regular fries. My brother ordered Chicken Fillet w/ rice and drinks. Then he ordered sundae with chocolate on it.

That was the second long-bonding time we had. The first was last Saturday, the last day of our review. My brother and I had to come with our mother to Trinoma. That was the meeting place of my mom's high school barkada. My brother and I didn't want to tag along them so we explored Trinoma from the second floor to the fourth floor then we went to the ground floor. It was from 3:30pm to 7pm. But before we had a walk around the mall, we ate burritos and nachos in Taco Bell while I narrated 17Again to him because he hasn't seen it yet. We didn't watch a movie that time because all cinemas were already starting the film. We had to wait till 4pm. We didn't want to sit down and watch a movie to kill 2 and 1/2 hours, so we agreed on taking a tour around the mall! =)

Now you know what happened to me this month. This is the first and last post for this month, April since this is the last day of this month. Tomorrow will be the first day of May. 10 days from now is my brother's 13th birthday! But I don't know yet what to give him!!! (maybe he doesn't need one)...

Things-that-happened-before-Summer Recap

Mode: I don't know...
Currently listening to: Summertime - The Click Five

yo! It has been a long time. No updates yet. Maybe there's a few an here it goes...

I don't know the exxact dates so I'll just narrate the things that were happening to me when I was not posting.

Last last last week, I think it was the week of doing alot of requirements like maybe... making the issue analysis, doing the micropaper or writing a formal theme. Or... performing Wayang Kulit, doing the culminating activity in music, or delivering the speech for our symposium. I'm not really sure whether these things happend on the said week but I think some of them happened and were continued last last week or last week. But I am sure that we had our exams last week and had a day rest last Wednesday.

That's what happened at least in general. Here are things that i can't forget until now.

Last Wednesday March 4, 2009, we had our Achievement Tests for the subjects Algebra, English, Chemistry, Filipino, and Geometry (yes, that's right. we had separate tests for Geom and Algeb).

Last Friday March 6, 2009, I had a heart-to-heart talk with the friend who has been the topic for quite some time. I opened up to her and she opened up to me. We shared what we felt, we shared problems to each other (at least that's what I think happened). But even though that happened, i think I will have to live the life I currently had last time since Feb. 2 which was the time when I felt that there was something wrong and the time when I realized that I was being pushed away in so many different ways. ever since that day, when I open my computer, I played the song Pushing Me Away by the JB. It is not mentioned in my posts that I was currently listening to that because that's the only one playing on my playlist. I'll get bored with a song so appropriate that I don't even want to sing or hear it play again. I'm complicated and hard to firgure out sometimes. So just skip the sentence before the sentence before this. Anyway, more on this later.

Last Monday March 9, 2009, a friend told me that the last screening of the Jonas Brothers Burnin' Up Concert in 3D will be on Wednesday March 11, 2009. So I told her that I can't watch it anymore. We were suppose to watch it together in SM North Edsa The Block Cinema 1. Then awhile ago, I read the broadsheet "Manila Bulletin". I saw with my own very eyes the part of the newspaper that read "JONAS BROTHERS IN 3D" on the column of the SM Cinema The Block in bold letters. That means that the movie is still being sreened and shown to the mall. But I believed her when I noticed that all the malls except the The Block were not showing the JB's concert anymore. Now, I still haven't watched it yet and I know that there will be no chance for me to watch it anymore. I asked my mom to allow me to watch the movie while we were in the mall (SM North Edsa) awhile ago. But she didn't allow me no matter how I begged her. When she made up her mind, I didn't have much of a choice but to listen to her and stop begging so she won't get mad at me. I hope it will still be shown until the last week of the month so I still have the chance to ask my other friends to watch the movie with me. The ticket costs Php301.00.

Schedule of our exams last week:

  • Monday - Advanced Algebra and Practical Exam in TLE
  • Tuesday - Social Studies and Religion
  • Wednesday - rest day
  • Thursday - Communication Arts in English and Chemistry
  • Friday - Geometry and Communication Arts in Filipino

Last Friday March 13, 2009, my two friends and I went to McDonald's retiro to celebrate the last of the school year 2008-2009. We ate of course and talked about different things like college and our pets.

Yesterday, I pretty much didn't do anything. Just lied on the couch turned the television on and changed the channel to either Myx, MTV, Nickelodean, or Disney Channel. Sometimes I check out the channels Star World, Star Movies, HBO, Velvet, LIfestyle Network, Maxxx, Foxcrime, AXN, Animax, ETC, 2nd Avenue and sometimes local channels like ABS-CBN, GMA-7, and QTV. Then I also ate breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner and midnight snack (I didn't have time for recess since I woke up at 9am).

Today, my brother, my mom, and I went to SM North Edsa. We shecked out the newly built Annex. It was like Trinoma; only it had more gadget stores than shopping stores. Some clothe stores and restaurants were soon to open. The sad part was the Max's restaurant in the main bulding of the mall was closed for renovation. So we didn't have a chance to eat lunch there. We ate lunch at the main building and bought things that need replacements at home and also groceries. Then we went back to Annex to have some merienda. There they, the Annex, had Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, French Baker, KFC and other new restaurants. Before going home, I bought a new hamster in Bio Research! It was a little disappointing 'cause t hey didn't have a white male hamster anymore. All of them were a half white, half brown. So I got the whitest of them all. Now, we have two hamsters again. More about the hamsters later.

Now, I can feel summer! That's because I can feel the heat. I am also playing pop songs and summertime songs. So if you know other summer songs, just type it/them in on your comments.

That's for now. This post will have to remind me of other things that I will post later or maybe tomorrow.

See ya then!

My Life Sucks A Lot and Rocks A Little

Mood: sad
Currently watching to: Bata, Bata Paano Ka Ginawa

my life sucks in so many ways...
  • We have a practice for the Play in Filipino today... And everyone has to attend. I think I'm the only one is not there. I feel like a useless member of the group. The reason why I can't attend is because my mother didn't allow me. Her reason s because my dad texted her and told her that his office is in a brown out situation and the rain is pouring heavily. But here at home, I the rain is is just light and there is no brown out. I had to call my classmate to tell her that I can't come with her on the way to the court where the group is suppose to practice. I feel bad about myself because last night I already told her that my parents agree for me to go to the practice. Now, I feel that tomorrow they will get mad at me. I can see right now the face of my friend who is the leader of the group. She is probably crying or really pist off or really mad at me. I don't think I can show myself to her or to my groupmates tomorrow. I'm scared to death now.
  • We have a homework in Filipino about making a summary of all the Chapters of the novel we read, about making Character Analysis on the characters of course, and about their very important dialogues. We are suppose to just write them in our notebooks but unfortunately for me, I forgot my notebook in my locker. I almost forgot, too, about this homework. It's a good thing that my classmate group mailed about if she can print hers instead. That reminded me of the homework. What sucks is that I shouldv'e done the homework two days ago.
  • Our Advanced Algebra teacher always gives us advance homework. if we do the a.h., we can get extra points. I always get that kind of homework done the day she gives it. now, I haven't done the most recent one and I haven't finished the last one yet.
  • I could've done the advance homework if it weren't for my math notebook, running out of pages. We went to the NBS yesterday and I totally forgot about the stinking notebook. Now, even though I like to start answering the homework, I can't. I still have nowhere to write the answers.

Though it sucks a lot, it rocks a little bit...

  • My mom found a way so I can watch "Magnifico" and "Bata, Bata Paano Ka Ginawa?". These are movies that we have to watch individually or in group. These are part of the lessons for us to learn in the Filipino subject. We rented a VCD of Magnifico and a DVD of Bata, Bata yesterday. I finished watching MAgnifico last night. Now, I'm somewhre in the middle of the movie Bata, Bata.
  • It's a good thing I didn't come to the practice, too. Now, I have time to finish the movie and do the homework.

That's all! I wish tomorrow will never come...

IT'S NOT FAIR!!!

Mood: I feel so pist off!!!
Currently listening to: This Is Me - Demi Lovato

A little thing that anyone should know about me is that I hate secrets especially when they are kept away from me. People with secrets are, in my opinion, insecure. If anyone would know about there secret, they fear that people might not treat them right. But one thing they don't know is that they are supported at all times by those people who care about them.

You see, the thing is, what really hurts is when your friend whom you know more than anyone in a group of new faces, has an experience or story that she is not telling you but is telling to othrs whom she has known for months only. You ask her, "what is it all about" and all she says is "you'll kick my ass if you knew" whatever that is. Because of this, instead both of you are bonded together as friends, you get more and more separated from her since you don't know what's happening in her life and about her. How the heck will you know her better if she doesn't update you when you ask for an update? The part which makes you wish you weren't her frind is when you figure that she is telling her update to another person other you, who asked first.

Everytime the two of you walk together to go to another venue where the class will be held, a classmate approaches and asks if she can borrow your friend for a moment and talk to her about secrets you shouldn't hear that's why they have to be away from you. This leaves you to yourself alone in the corridor going to where the class is suppose to go. If you see a person who you can walk with, other than your friend who is "borrowed away from you", you yourself will find a reason for walking with her so she doesn't feel being used by you since you have no one to walk with.

Another reason why you wish you weren't her friend is because during free period when the teacher is late, you find yourself sitting with her but not talking to her which is the main reason why you seated beside her in the first place. Then you feel like moving a seat away from her because you don't want to see her and the person, who she is talking to, whisper or mouthing what they have to say to each other since it is a secret. Everytime a person talks to her, you have to back off a little so you won't hear what they are talking about. You just look away when they laugh about something you don't even know about.

Then she tells one secret. She also tells you not to tell anyone. You know that she'll get mad when you tell anyone so you keep it a secret. Then you find yourself in a situation where she accidentally blurts it out and tells to the people who heard to not to tell anyone about it. Then one of the people who heard it spreads it out and she doesn't even get mad at that person. Then you think about that situation where you think that what if you were the one who told the secret. You'll think and guess that she won't talk to you for a day and that she won't tell you any more secrets.

And to think that she is suppose to do all of these things with you and that she should be considering you more since both of you had a foundation to your friendship and all that's left is to build it up more so it won't break down into pieces. You don't want your hardwork into building your friendship be put into waste just like that. She doesn't mean to do these things with others instead of you. But the process you are going through and the thoughts that go into your head are holes that can bring down such friendship.

She is friends of course with those she shares secrets with. They very fortunate to know a lot about my friend more than I know her. That's why, because of this realization in life, I have decided to tell my bestfriend about the website of this blog. My bestfriend can judge me in any way she wants. She is my best friend after all. She understands me that's why I have a lot of fun when I'm with her. There is never a boring moment with her. True, there are times when the two of us are out of things to say to each other but being with her makes me happy already. I hpe she feels and thinks the same way. If not, it's fine me too! We don't have secrets from each other. That's why I felt unfair to her because she tells and allows me to visit and read about whatever she writes in her blog and I don't want her to know whatever I post in my blog and won't even tell her mine when I changed the web address.

On Monday, I am ready to tell her my web address and let her read everything in this blog. I'll just tell her not to tell anyone. It will be our own little secret, just the two of us. This a simple kind of revenge that I can think of. It's a bad revenge but it's the one thing I got that my other friend doesn't know about.

What sucks and rocks is that next school year, we will surely make another term paper about a different novel. In our school, we do the term paper as a pair. My partner is my friend who seems to be the topic of this post. Next school year, she surely won't be my partner because she already made arrangements with another classmate. Now, I am forced to pair myself with a classmate who I have been sitting beside ever since my first year in High School. She is the only one I got who is serious yet fun to be with too. It sucks because my friend who the topic is the best in the class and that's something that everyone in the class has to admit. If don't work with her, then I guess my term paper next school year won't be as good as what the two of us are doing now. What rocks is that she doesn't have to boss me around next school year in doing the term paper since she won't be my partner anymore.

It's not fair because I should be knowing her better and getting close to her since I am her friend for three or four years.

Now you know how I am and what I go through during class hours. I only get to hang out with my bestfriend and leave my friend during recess and lunch time.

Writing all fo these things that are trapped and now set free in my head makes me feel a lot better. I feel the best if my best friend would read this post.

So chow for now!

I'll sign in to Yahoo! Messenger to give her an instant message containing the web address of this blog of mine. Some of these are things I already told her.

It's The Time of My LIFE!!!

Mood: Awesome!!!!!
Currently listening to: Start the Party - Camp Rock
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yaaaaahhhhhooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Yehhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeyyyy!!!!!
I feel so great!!! My team won the third prize in the Math and Science Quiz Bee awhile ago at 12:40pm to 3:10!
At first, my team and I thought that we didn't make it since there was no third year on our team during the difficult round. It turned out that we made enough points to catch up on the third place! I jumped up and down, left and right on stage as our names were called! I was overwhelmed because no one in the team expected anything! Now, we just have to wait for our scores from the hands-on competition which was held in the 28th of January. We will be awarded some time this week.
Yahoooo!!!!! I'm Out! Peace...
I'll add details when I have time. I'm studying for our long test in Religion tomorrow.
See ya then!
